Together, they await [b]two hatchlings[/b]. All seems to be well until Tyrian finds a mysterious cleaver in their hoard that is not accounted for in the meticulous clan records. Guided by her growing unease, she consults Electrum, her fellow founder and clan mage. He discerns that the cleaver is an ancient curse that drives dragons to violence by causing them to lust after the sword. Its power has decreased with age, and the older dragons remain unaffected...
...but the same cannot be said of the hatchlings. Will the curse be doomed to spread beyond their generation? Or will Tyrian's legacy be doomed to endless cycles of bloodshed?

Note: Because I'm an impatient soul, all dragons involved in this will be the starter breeds. (Edit: the heir and mate will be of different breeds because I want [s]more bloodshed[/s] a five-egg nest.) My wish is a triple gem-gened dragon, perhaps of respectable colors. But we'll see if RNG plays nice.
I also won't be doing extensive lore - as much as I'd love to, I would love to not abandon this challenge. So my sanity comes first.

Generation 5 hatched with no upgrades, and since I'm halfway through and only have one upgrade in total, I've decided that I will start a new challenge after this one and do it semi-properly. For now I've always been taking the cheapest available dragon on the AH for each heir, and this has resulted in virtually no upgrades, because of all the cheap gem genes floating around everywhere. Next time I'll hand pick the cheapest dragon with the best gene upgrade chances. But that's for next time. For now I will cheerfully go with what RNG decides for me.
Nadja and Xalvadora are the two sisters, and gene-wise I don't really care who wins, since there's nothing here to write home about. I do VASTLY prefer Nadja's colours though, so I will be rooting for her.
