Thank youuuu, I will! I'm looking forward to fiddling with my camera to get some good shots. And I'm so blessed to still have her around, haha. Every year is something more to celebrate!

Hope Grandma's birthday is AMAZE and also that you enjoy time with your family. :) Also enjoy the eclipse! I hope the travel is safe and a fantastic couple of days! :)

Edit: Also Sal, are you like cursed to habitate around things that need construction or something?? You poor thing.

Scar- if you get good pics of the eclipse it would be really cool of you to share, I won't be viewing due to college and stuff, but SCIENCE THINGS

I was reading through the posts and i kinda laughed at the mail stuff because mail would have trouble getting to my dragons, so they are very removed from the world.

The strawberry one looks like the best dessert - brown for chocolate and the red for jam and the pale parts on the wings for like a nut or malted powder dusting. :D

He's still available Saori won't be able to do much and has been busy so they're not even in the hatchery yet. I'll tell her to contact you when she has time. Until then the hatchery isn't updated etc.

Today I chose wisely and played hooky from work (with advance permission lol) and in addition to being a moderately decent pebble and contributing to the push, I also worked on the last of the notecards to outline the very first draft of this thing I finished writing back in ... June???

I would grief myself on being a slow reader, but when you're literally fighting anxiety to work on this project every time I sat down on it, "two hours every Saturday morning before the world is fully awake" was the most I could commit to.

I am pleased to say that the notecards are now all finished, the first draft has been written and read, and it is TERRIBLE. :D

Like. In the way you want first drafts to be terrible.

Anyway, today is FRIDAY, which means that TOMORROW I can do the BEST part of writing (to me) which is sweeping a clean space in the kitchen floor at six in the morning and flopping down with all the notecards and manhandling these points into a coherent PLOT.

Which largely involves a lot of frantic rewriting of plot points and trying to justify late-game developments that are 100% important to the plot with early foreshadowing and essentially building the really chintzy detective game that is Chekov's gun.

This is super exciting to me. I am so pumped that this is where the errand is now, because woooowwww it is my favorite. It's better than the writing stage, because it's not involving the weeping and the hysteria and the exhaustion. It's JUST the 'well I want X to happen maybe?" and so you write X on a notecard and see where you can shove it so it makes sense. And "oh that point was really dreadfully boring." and you take it out and see if the story makes sense without it.

AND I IMAGINE you are supposed to do this BEFORE the first draft, but I 100% suck at that, so this is how I do this. And it's wonderful.

And I just wanted to share. Because.

<3 Hope you're all well. :) Take care of yourselves this weekend.
