[/b] Welcome to the CYOA event discussion and volunteerism thread! If you have come to this thread, you were part of the interest check thread on April 24th. If you are on this thread, by no means do you need to volunteer to help out setting up for the thread. The event is tentatively planned to happen either Mid-May to June or late June to Mid-July. This thread, apart from being the application hub, will also be the new interest check. If you are interested in participating when the event opens, you can apply to be part of the master ping list (or a specialized ping list). The master ping will be used sparingly, so you will not have to worry about constantly getting notification from this thread. In addition to such, people can also discuss or request things they would like to see once the event thread opens. Once the event does open, this thread will be used as a secondary discussion thread mainly for volunteers. Please ask questions here for the time being as well! [/b] Easy! Just find the volunteer post by scrolling through the front page or using the directory on the head post. There, you will find a link to a google form that will ask you a few detailed questions about what you are planning to contribute as a volunteer. Submit the post, and Heliopa will contact you shortly after to get you added to the volunteer spreadsheet. [b]How can I stop volunteering?[/b] To stop volunteering, all you have to do is alert both Heliopa and the volunteer thread of your departure. Asked to be removed from the ping, spreadsheet, and send a code form of any story you have in dragon or lair bios to Heliopa before deleting it. If you are an art volunteer, you may choose to have Heliopa take down any art that may be available as a signature ad/banner. Please give at least a few day's notice before leaving the story team, as we will need to reroute the paths that are affected. [b]What can I do to help?[/b] Basically anything! We will always be looking to add in more dragons or lairs to the story so people can have a chance up point tallies before the event ends. We also welcome writers, artists, and donators! If you think of something else that might be beneficial, there is an other section of intent included on the google form. [b]Wait, a volunteer spreadsheet? [/b] Yes! This will keep track of volunteers in two groups. First, the dragon and lair contributors and what order along the story branches they are in (and how many branch off them, etc.) The second will be active members who elected not to be part of the story but are helping in other ways! If any volunteer is playing along, they can use the spreadsheet to possibly find better endings but unfortunately will face point reductions if they do so. Regular players should not have access to the spreadsheet unless severely stuck, in which case they will have one-time access but face point reductions as well. [b]I have a gift to donate. What should I do?[/b] Send it to Heliopa! She will then arrange those items by value and aesthetic to create gift packages for players who accumulate enough points. Donators and contributors will be thanked through a special acknowledgement post on the main thread. [b]I'm not a volunteer but I have access to the volunteer thread. Why?[/b] You are either a one-time player looking for hints, an ex-volunteer lurking around to chat, or one of the users who expressed interest in the original interest check thread.
