Rumoured to be a displaced drifter, a vagabond without a settled home, she took reprieve in roaming freely upon exile, duly expecting her outcast after constant reminder of her appearance demarcating her place as a pariah.
Denizens of the ashfall waste regarded the charred scaled flesh and disfigurement as a gift from their Goddess' righteous fury and might, and a branding of her inferiority and weakness to the all consuming flame. Thus, masses believed her to be a prisoner of war, working as a firestarter at the behest of ashfall's command; a near fatal victim of auto-de-fé, prisoners like she were condemned to.

[/url][nextcol]Despite Tri's subject to the wrathful fire of her punishment, she had survived- maimed and at the verge of death, but alive before her captors could realise it. When she'd come to consciousness, with scant recollection of what had befallen her and her compatriots, she'd underwent such dramatic transformation that the guards, township, leaders, authorities, her own home, compatriots, and the entire world with it had regarded the lost coatl as completely unrecognisable and forgotten...
Nearly forgotten. The malevolent mage Magnus, stoker of the great hearth, tasked with the burned coatl's recapture after her mysterious disappearence, relentlessly pursues the lost prisoner, even despite the lessening priority of the case to absolute abandonment to all but himself. His consuming obsession with the mystifying circumstances of her putative death and the lack of confirmation brought him to the far reaches and ends of Ashfall in monomanic pursuit of the coatl whom haunts him. For Tri was beyond his prisoner during her mortal life- she was his mother.
