So, I have these two, and Mister Flightrising can't stop me from deciding their sexuality; but, is it lore friendly for them to be cannon gay?
Like, I KNOW they can't have kids, but I think of them kinda like birds. birds can be gay. I have two birds who are husbands.
So yeah, what are your thoughts about cute gay dragon couples?
Heck, how about any LGBTQ+ dragons? like, do the dragons have human-like intelligence or are they just animals.
These are the questions we are all too afraid to ask

Dragons are canonically sapient beings with humanlike intelligence.
Therefore it makes perfect sense for them to have orientations just like humans.
Whether or not other dragons are accepting of this, just like humans, may vary.

LGBT dragons are perfectly fine, many people have them! In fact, Fiona is canonically trans and Scribbles is nonbinary.

ohhhhh no. the Flight Rising Police Department (FRPD) will come after you if you dare to make your dragons gay. the typical punishment for this heinous crime is a permanent ban as well as the death penalty. be afraid, be very afraid

I understand this is a joke, but as this is the Help forums, and the fact that there have been pet sites which would punish a user for bringing up LGBT topics... Flight Rising is perfectly friendly and accepting of dragons and users of all identities, genders, and lack thereof. Gay, trans, etc. dragons do not contradict lore, as they have human level sapience, and there are a couple canon examples of transgender and nonbinary dragons in particular (with Fiona being a trans woman, Scribbles being nonbinary and using they/them, and Galore using he/him while staff actively avoids referring to him with any gender whatsoever). The deities are also not explicitly described as having genders in lore, only being referred to with "gendered" pronouns and descriptors.
We have also seen no examples of homophobia or transphobia in FR lore, and likely never will- though people have certainly implemented it in their lore, and there's no punishment for including such issues unless it is clearly the user expressing homophobia or transphobia towards others.
Adoption is also explicitly a thing dragons do in lore- Swipp's daughters are adopted, and, more loosely, Wildclaw lore describes them as taking other's eggs to raise the young and grow their families. But, as always, children are no determinant of how 'valid' a relationship is.
Personally, I have a lair almost entirely composed of LGBT dragons. All of my female (and so far all of my nonbinary) Guardians are literally lesbians.

drakessis out of morbid curiosity, which pet sites have banned lbgt discussion? Honestly seems like the kind of thing NP might do

Hearing that statement filled my heart with joy. I'm so used to n**pets not allowing my pets to be gay, so I had to go to the reddit to post my pets being boyfriends.
I wasn't so sure on the stance so I decided to ask, and the overwhelming positivity is really nice. Thank you, everyone
