I get most of my eggs from the Mire while fodder training, but I've also had them drop from scorched forest, Volcanic Vents, Rainsong Jungle, and Kelp beds too.
however if you're looking for a particular element, it's best to grind in a venue that has a higher amount of monsters with that element. Coliseum loot and monsters can show you which elemental eggs drop in which Venues

If you don't care about the element of the egg, just farm in areas where you can blast though the enemies quickly.
More enemies = More chance of egg drop

The outcomes of finding an egg are completely random, and is very rare. I, so far, never gotten an egg from coli, but then again, I don't do coli that often.

Don't get frustrated if you don't get one. They are extremely rare drops. You might luck out and get one in your fifth fight, you might be fighting for hours every day for sixth months and never get a drop.

Are you set on the idea of having an egg drop, or just want an egg from any source? If the latter, it would probably be more time efficient to level and exalt some fodder and buy the egg off the AH :) In >2 milT worth of exalting, one egg dropped, which was fairly lucky in itself :D

You can get eggs from coli?? I've been training dragons since I got here and have never seen one.

Yes you can, I've been getting one nearly every festival week starting since Brightshine Jubilee of this year. Before that though I got maybe 2 in a year.

Wow. I say I do at least 10 coli battles a day to train up dragons for Exalt. I'm always in the Mire though. Are there better places to find them?
