I have only learned this is a thing recently, but how do we store treasure in our vaults? I'm told this is a thing, but haven't been able to figure out how we do that.

@MusicandMagic Go to any section of your Vault and at the very bottom you'll see icons for Treasure and Gems with little + and - symbols next to them. Click on the + to deposit money; click on - to take it out.

how do you put pictures in a forum post? I click on the picture icon and put in the url I have when i'm looking at a picture of the dragon but in the post it just shows the url text.

@Capn925 You need to make sure your link ends in an image extension such as .PNG, .JPG, or .GIF. If you're posting something from a different site you also need to make sure the other site allows direct linking (otherwise you may need to upload the picture to a host such as [url=http://imgur.com]imgur[/url] which will allow you to share it.)
For just posting dragons, though, there's a handy button on each dragon's profile that will provide all the code for you. Look for the 'Generate Code' button below their stats and copy/paste the BBCode:
