Props to you for putting together a list of similar games. That's super helpful. And I like the idea of adding reviews from other players who have played the games recently. That way we'll know what to expect.

@DamarionDavila Awe thank you!! <3 I love petsites like this and was struggling to find some for a while, so I made the list for myself and others to take advantage of. And, of course, the reviews are a huge help in picking out ones that suit individual interests.

This is a great list! Thank you so much for putting this together! I played WolfPlayGame, but it was a while ago so I probably shouldn't review lol. I do know a game similar to FR that's not on your list, though. And it also happens to be made by the same people who made WolfPlay!
The game is called Draconis Theory, DT for short.
It's a breeding game focused entirely around dragons, with 5 different species to choose from. And you can choose to breed for strength, color, mutation(to get different, special forms of the 5 species) or all three if you so please! The dragons do have a limited lifespan and die after at most I think 12-16 in game years(so 12-16 irl months), so that might be a downside for you.
The breeding mechanics are also a little more complex than FR, which is something I personally enjoy. Colors are determined by a base color and a variety of 8 different color modifiers, as well as two separate types of patterns that each have 4 different variations. A dragon can have recessive and dominant color mod genes and patterns, so you'd better know your punnet squares!
Strength is something I'm still trying to understand, as the community in this game is rather small so research on how these things work is limited. On the surface, strength is measured in 3 different categories: Primal Arts, Weaponry, and Spell Casting. The different ratings from weakest to strongest are Weak, Fair, Strong, Mighty, and Legendary. It is many breeder's goals to breed LLL(Legendary x 3) dragons, as it is very hard to achieve.
I think I'm going to stop here lest I ramble on for another 5 paragraphs lol.
So yeah, TL;DR: Dragons. Breed for strength, color, or both. Kinda complex. Fun imo. Also the community is super nice, if a little inactive.

I am trying to recall the name of one I played very briefly years ago.. I'd love to see what it's like now as it was pretty new at the time. I think it had "Heart" in its name but I'm not certain. You picked between choices like deer, wolves, lions? I think? and others and got to make your first one with colors and markings. I really wish I could remember what it was called because trying to google it with what little I have is.. not working lol

I found it!! It's called Clanheart. Doesn't look like it's been updated in years though from a quick glance, and no one is online, so I'm not even sure it works still. Getting it to send me an email for my password isn't even working, so maybe it's a dead site.

karazi looks like their last status update was back in July 2022 (found the info
here). Still, no one is online and their patreon has been shut down, so it doesn't appear to be open. Unfortunate.

Another Neopets copy that I really like a lot is Icepets. It borrows a little from both Neopets and Marapets, but unlike Marapets, Icepets has no offensive content, and players can work with the artists to help create items and pet colours. Icepets is fun and inclusive, but the site can be pretty quiet at times. The site art isn't as sophisticated as it is on Subeta, but it's still really nice. No breeding features, sadly. However, Icepets is ideal for people who might have wandered away from Neopets or Marapets and would like a similar site to enjoy without the drama as on the other sites. :)

There was a game I played ages ago called DragonAdopters. It was very similar to FR, but had no breeding mechanic. I spent a ton of time on that site but it shut down back in 2013 unfortunately.
The creator made a spiritual successor to DragonAdopters called PixPet. I made an account a few days ago but I haven't really gotten the hang of it yet so I can't really review it. I'm sure some people here may like it.
