One already did, and my clan adopted him

i think there would be a lot of indecision that would make things worse than if any single plan was quickly decided upon. i think there would be a camp who would want to stay and fight it, relive the glory of the coup against the first leader and/or various other calamities, depending on when in the timeline this happened.
problem being, while Big Scary Events Requiring Fighting do happen on occasion... they're on occasion. by and large my clan is a peaceful, quiet place to live most of the time. and there are no truly incredible warriors- the strongest dragons i have do have lairs in the clan, but are mostly nomadic. doesnt seem especially likely that luck would happen to see them passing through when an emperor came to town. even if they were there, i dont think they'd be enough.
so there'd be a big push from many dragons to just evacuate, probably from most of my influential dragons in leadership, but since my main leader used to work with the guards who might want to chase glory... i think she'd be slow to choose a course of action.
i think, ultimately, seeing how useless their forces are against the emperor, my clan would make an untidy, last minute retreat. but there would be casualties, and significant damage to infrastructure. would probably shake up faith in the leader as a result... it wouldnt be a good vibe, lol

An Emperor dragon would probably cause this guy to remember he's a deity and probably defend the clan however he can.

If were going by FR lore, than they would flee, moving their party parlor away from the emperor.
If were going with my clans's lore with its tweaks and differences from FR's lore, they'd just ignore it. Most of the clan members who have encountered emperors before have either polite respect or see emperors as heroes and opponents to the lightweaver (who wants them all dead). Emperors also tend to leave you alone if you dont try to attack them (theyll still hurt you if you try to block their path or get in their way, but they tend to leave dragons alone)

Immediately send their fastest messengers to nearby allied clans for coordination of their forces. A newly emerged Emperor Dragon is a threat to everybody!
My clan's leader is a strategist and sorcerer - Sanctum hasn't needed his leadership skills in a while, or his three top generals, but they'd fall back on rank and get moving fast. Then, distract and redirect. Probably send out an elite aerial strike team to get the Emperor's attention and draw it away from the den.
The Witchlings are another sect, they would definitely pull some black magic out of their butts, or at least some pretty nasty curses to throw at it. The illusionists and performers would camouflage the den, and the Soothsayers would look into the near future to see if the clan's efforts would end in disaster or not. They've got a couple demon hybrids and twisted magic monsters in there too, so if all else fails... There's at least one of them that would sacrifice themselves to protect their home.
The artificers and scouts would be working overtime, keeping tabs on where the Emperor is, where it's headed, and making as many explosives and firebombs as possible. Imps, hatchlings and elders are evacuated immediately, with plans made for everyone else in case it becomes necessary. My clan is decently large, but it's nearly half imperials, so the size gets reduced by a lot. And with only four members at level 25, being quick and clever is their best bet. They'd definitely prioritize redirection, or hit-and-run(fly) tactics, because they know they'd lose a head-on fight, but they're not ready to run, either.
Edited to add that I'm not all caught up on the FR lore for Emperors... So this is just based on what little I know, and my own thoughts.

my clan's best fighters all travel around the Shrieking Wilds fighting Shade remnants - there are some good fighters still left in the village, as guards and such, but yeah they're definitely not good enough to fight off THAT. they'd absolutely flee!
edit: OH wait I forgot a minor deity lives near the clan lmao. they (the deity) loves the clan, as their love and harmony is the reason why they decided to live nearby, and I think the deity would be powerful enough to drive the emperor away!!

Nova would want to meet and/or study it. Someone would probably get themselves hurt or killed trying to drag her away as everyone else evacuates. As a unified clan we might be able to take one, but we'd rather keep as many members as possible alive.
