[Font=georgia][size=4]They hurried up the path of light into the cloudy sky. Every now and then rivulets of light would snake away from the bridge, either in blinding bolts or wisps of energy. Whenever some of the light was released a scent filled the air. It was a mix of sharp, clean mint and ozone, and the warm smell of wood smoke. The path was hard and cold but if they stepped hard enough they would sink in ever so slightly.
The two dragons climbed upwards for several more minutes before the path came to an end at what appeared to be an island of clouds. Swirling threads of mist wafted off from the surface, floating up into the starry night. The air smelled of ozone and the quiet moments just before a storm. By this point they’re chilled all the way to the bone and shivering. At the center was a brilliant green blue ball of light. It flashed and flickered, giving off a cool glow.
