The Heart: A bustling city/kingdom in the center of The Heartlands, where many of the events of my current-age lore take place. The Heartlands are only one large territory of many that make up the Umberforge Empire, and though Gigginox is the Prince and overseer of The Heartlands, his father is the King of the entire Empire. Gigginox convinced his father to let him rule one of his father's territories many years ago, along with his advisor Vivllion (who grew up in a Fae colony under the Empire's rule), and has since then been doing a fairly good job of it. Collaborating with the previous overseers of the territory, they work to expand the city and its forging exports, rebuilding sections of dilapidated buildings and lairs and building new forges on the veins of magma that run throughout the whole city and up to the giant dormant volcano that makes up the central hub of all activities and the palace. Though, through their rebuilding, they discover marks of fighting, of war, hidden within the palace walls and deep underneath the city in a hidden web of catacombs. There was some large conflict that had taken place many, many years ago, large enough to still be echoed in the crumbled buildings of the oldest part of the kingdom, or in the unease shared by all dragons when staring too long at all the old Imperial-like insignias scattered subtly throughout the architecture. What had happened here, and why did his father tell him nothing about this? Why do the townsdragons not know? And what was hidden within the catacombs, breathing out a foul air? Though the present is peaceful, there are rebellions on the horizon and a heavy air laying over The Heartlands, as if something is waiting to take its first breath...

Urgently awaken,
night was when we were taken.
Forced to leave, though unsure why,
it was either go, or die.
Chased away by a monstrous beast,
that night was a fright, to say the least.
The closest to me perished,
I had nothing left to cherish.
My best friend was gone,
I grieved till dawn.
But, now I rule,
unlike him, I am not cruel.
Though I have yet to forget,
the death my parents met.
For I, revenge is not,
and me killing, is a long shot.

((UNDER HUGE REVAMP DISREGARD ALL THIS oh my gosh this is like 6 years old please don't read... - the above paragraph is, though brief, up to date. The rest is old and disorganized notes that I will get to some day)) His parents were originally from the Shadow Flight, in a clan ruled by a deadly Chimera. The clan was one of the most powerful in the Shadow Flight so his parents were grateful to be in it. That is, until they laid his egg. His egg colour was blue, a cursed colour. It meant that he would have the power to spite blue flames and ignite himself on fire without getting burned. If that wasn't bad enough, his parents laid another egg which meant that that dragon inside that egg would have no fire. That's because his egg had sucked all the fire from the other so he had too much of it while his twin had none.

The Chimera demanded that the eggs be broken, since one was powerless while the other was too powerful. His parents refused and fled to the Fire Flight. He was hatched there along with his twin sister, Ripple. Sadly, the Chimera caught up to them and killed his parents, he and his sister narrowly escaping the same fate. In the chaos, though, Gigginox and his sister were separated, never seeing each other again.

Gigginox grew up by himself and grew more and more powerful, mastering the use of his rare blue fire. He always contemplated going back to the Chimera and getting revenge but ultimately realized that he wanted to see no more death.

He traveled around for a long time and eventually felt drawn towards a huge volcano. There seemed to already be an entrance way carved into the front of it and somehow the lava was not pouring out. In fact, Gigginox couldn't even see any lava. Incredibly curious and still feeling the strange tugging sensation in his gut, he ventured forward and through the entrance. It was incredible. Inside, the whole volcano was hollow, lava streams flowing down the sides from indiscernible sources. Looking up in awe, he could see stars twinkling through the top of the hollow volcano, way up above.

He suddenly felt something whack him on his frill. Yelping, he whipped his head around to find the offender: a female Fae. That was when Vivllion and Gigginox first met. Although Vivllion was quite adamant about keeping this volcano all to herself at first, Gigginox explained the strange feeling he felt that drew him here and Vivllion realized that she had the same feeling too. In the end, they decided to share the volcano, and the rest is history.

Personality: A very kind and gentle soul. Gigginox wants to help who ever he can. Some may think that he is too soft to be a Clan Leader, but be warned. If any of his Clan is in trouble or needs protection he will do anything necessary to do so. And if you hurt anyone, well, bless the poor souls who do that. Gigginox thinks more with his heart.
He enjoys going on runs through the Emberglow Hearth.

Power: Can spite blue flames and ignite himself on fire. Moderately strong physical strength.

Familiar: As he was growing up he found a Renegade Aviar chick, abandoned by his mother. Deciding to take it with him, they began there journey together. They became very close friends, seeing as they had a lot in common. For example, Gigginox preferred to stay on the ground and the Aviar could only glide so they both enjoyed runs together.

Before Clan

"Gigginox, Ripple, get up quickly!", a female Mirror whispered urgently, nudging the dragonets awake. "What's.....what's happening?", Gigginox yawned, opening his four small eyes blearily.

"N-nothing. Just get on fathers back. We....we are going on a trip", the female Mirror said, putting on a fake smile. Gigginox closed his two bigger eyes and narrowed his two smaller, heat tracking eyes. His mothers body heat was elevated, and that only happened when she was either embarrassed or scared. "Mom, what's really happening?", Ripple asked, coming to the same conclusion as her twin. The mother glanced at the father, who was staring out of there cave at something, "I-I can't expla-". She was cut off when a murderous roar was heard not 100 paces from the cave entrance. It sounded like talons being scraped upon rock. Gigginox and Ripple fell to the ground, pressing their talons to their frills. "We have to go, now!", the father said sternly, scooping up the still cowering dragonets and leading his mate out of the lair. On his fathers back, ears still ringing, Gigginox could now feel the thundering sound of talons bounding behind them. As his mother and father were expertly running along one of the many lava rivers in the Ashfall Waste, he looked back to see what was chasing them. Gigginox dug his little talons into his fathers back in fear.

Behind them was a colossal Chimera, it's powerful legs closing the distance between them much too fast. It's monstrous mouth hung open, blade like teeth gleaming in the light produced by the lava, saliva dripping from it's tongue that was hanging from the side of his mouth. Black and dark purple scales filled Gigginox's vision as the Chimera closed the last meter of distance. The Chimera pounced. Ripple screamed in fear beside Gigginox and waited for the blade-teeth to cut him open. The father suddenly lurched to the right and made a quick turn, causing the Chimera to crash into a rock wall.

The Mirror family ran as fast as they could. Suddenly, the father skidded to a stop. Fearing they might have hit some sort of dead end, Gigginox pried his eyes open. There was still a large expanse of rock ahead of them, so why had father stopped? "What are you doing?!", the mother screeched hysterically, "He will be upon us in seconds!" The father gently pried Gigginox and Ripple off his back and handed them to the mother. "What are you-".
"I will slow him down", he said in a monotone voice, "Run as fast as you can and don't stop for anything".

"You-you can't! N-no! I-", the mother was silenced by the fathers tail entwining with hers. They looked at each other until they heard the furious roar of the Chimera. The father's tail broke from the mother's and he turned, a determined look on his face. "I love you", the mother said as she took one last look at her mate, then ran off with her dragonets on her back. "Daddy!", Ripple and Gigginox cried as they ran farther and farther away. When they turned a corner so they couldn't see him anymore, they heard a roar filled with agony, then the sound of flesh ripping. The mother let tears flow freely, but kept moving. "Daddy....daddy...", Gigginox realized what happened and started sobbing, Ripple as well.

"OH GODS NO!", the mother screamed as the Chimera seemingly materialized in front of them, blood flecked all over its jaws and talons. It let out a rasping laugh and said, "did you really think you could escape me?" It took a menacing step forward. The mother took a step back, fear wracking her body. "Please, you can kill me, but don't harm my dragonets! Their innocent! Please!"

It waved off her pleas and said, "That does not matter. They were never supposed to hatch, so I am fixing that now. You also know the punishment for disobeying a order from me is death, correct?" He gave another rasping laugh, "Your mate went down quite easy. Now, the question is, will you too?" The Chimera pounced and knocked the mother on her side, the hatchlings falling off and skidding a few paces away. "Run, my babies! Quickly, don't look back!", the mother yelled trying to stagger back to her feet. The dragonets froze in terror. The Chimera started towards them, his huge talons clicking one the rock. "NO!", the mother stuck out her tail and tripped the Chimera. It fell to the ground, making a small earthquake. "RUN, RUN NOW! RUN!!". Their mother's frantic yelling snapped them out of their stupor and they both scrambled to a rocky overhang which seemed to have two small tunnels underneath it. The Chimera roared and turned to the mother, "You have worn my patience, Mirror! Say hello to your mate for me."

Gigginox turned just as the Chimera brought its gigantic talon down on her, cutting straight through her. With a gurgled cry, the mother dropped to the ground, dead.

Six deadly eyes now turned on Gigginox, who had stopped running and stared in horror at the scene before him. He quickly started running again, pushing Ripple along. They had to get to that rock overhang or they were finished. As they got closer they realized that the tunnels weren't tunnels at all. They seemed more like pipes, slanting downwards. Gigginox pushed Ripple into the first one. "But what about you?", she asked.
"I will be right down after you. I promise", Gigginox said as Ripple closed her eyes and jumped down. Just as he was about to jump after her, a large hand grabbed him. "I am going to kill you, even if it kills me, you Mirror rat!", the Chimera spat, slowly squishing him. Gigginox didn't know how he did it, but suddenly his body felt warm and the Chimera let go of him, screaming in agony. When he looked back, he saw that the Chimera had burns on the hand that was holding Gigginox. Then he looked down. His body was engulfed in blue flames. At first he was scared, but then he realized that the flames weren't hurting him. In fact, they felt nice. He quickly ran back to the pipes and, without realizing it, he jumped into the opposite one Ripple had jumped into. The last things he heard as he fell was the Chimeras ferocious roar and the echo of his mother's gurgled cry for help rattling in his mind.

During Clan

Gigginox walked through the caverns of the dormant volcano he now calls home. All the twisting and turning tunnels led to the back cavern, the cavern where his 'throne' had just been finished. Truly, Gigginox hated the idea of having a throne, but it was more for show then anything else. Vivllion had been the one who had come up with the idea. She had said that if Gigginox had a throne it would be a show of power so that if any other Clan or any other dragon was looking for trouble they might look elsewhere......in progress.

Hahahah sike, I'm rewriting this all now too! As of 5/14/2021, this is all irrelevant. It's pretty much all changed because I'll never be satisfied with my lore...
So, I have a small blurb for my clan: Basically, Gigginox (the leader) was hatched into a Fire Clan in another volcano a little ways away from the volcano they now live in (lets just call that volcano The Heart for now). So, Gigginox's father is a bit tyrannical, but more strict than anything. Thing is, the only thing he saw in dragons was their usefulness, so anyone who wasn't useful lived in poverty or had lower living standards and less privileges. The clan was mostly a metal-working clan, so you had to be a good blacksmith or fighter to make it anywhere. As Gigginox grew up though, he didn't like how his father was treating everyone (due to his kind mother's teachings), so he tried to change things. His father, seeing a now disobedient son, stripped away his privileges and restricted him from going places. The only reason his father kept him and didn't banish him was because he had the most control/power over his blue fire (basically, coloured fire is something that is hereditary in his family, and he can ignite his scales and talons on fire) so he still had a use. But Gigginox sneaked out, not wanting to be a part of whatever his father was making, and flew off, eventually being draw to The Heart (volcano my clan is in). The Heart was already hollowed out and built - it seemed as if another clan had lived there many hundreds of years ago. The surrounding villages also seemed old and the dragons that lived there seemed quite poor.

Gigginox decided to start living there, and he met a small Fae named Vivllion (the other leader) who was drawn to the place as well. So, that's how my clan started; more and more dragons showed up after seeing the was a new King of The Heart, and they started building their empire, which is still growing currently. They have helped the small villages and increased their territory. So far, I'm thinking it's going to be mostly a metal-working clan (like Gig's father's) but with way more diversity in other things. That is all still a WIP though. And Gig's father has probably found out where he is by now, so I have to put that in somewhere too. Everyone forgot what happened at The Heart hundreds of year ago...there was a reason why no one lived in that volcano for so long. Oh right, Gigginox and his family has Imp blood in them, so they have Imp horns. Can you guess why?

Here's the answer! Hundreds of years ago, these two golden boys were hatched and started their conquest. I still have to figure out why they left their original clan and what drew them to Fire - and what eventually tore them apart. Huge WIP.
Xandra will be the one who carved out the volcano (The Heart) and started an empire there, turning all the land around the volcano into his kingdom. Sadly, he goes power-hungry on a hunt for a shade touched item (which is under our volcano so that is why there are all the catacombs - they dug a lot) and eventually falls into tyrannical insanity once he obtains it. There is much more (which includes an Emperor), but I'll just write this out for now. :)
And then there is Faolin, who decided to just join a clan instead of make one like his brother (or him and his brother originally joined a clan, but then his brother left him to create his own). He joined Gigginox's father's clan (although it was being ruled by his great grandfather at the time) and settled there. He tried to stop and help his brother but...things happened which I will tell you later (once I figure it out). Anyhow, he had children with one of Gigginox's father's ancestors and that is how Gigginox and his father both have a bit of Imp blood in them.

Also, Vivllion is connected in some way as well, seeing as Xandra had a Fae wife (I still need to get her) who was Viv's ancestor - but, they never had any children due to the fact that Xan went mad and died. So, Viv's ancestor fled to the all-fae clan (You can read a small bit about it in Viv's bio), and that is how Viv got there. So is it fate that eventually Gigginox left his clan, came to the volcano where an empire was built and destroyed (all these hundreds of years later, they forgot exactly what happened there and what lay there), found Vivllion who was also draw there, and started building another empire? Yes, yes it is fate. So, this is my plan so far.

See, the volcano used to be part of Gigginox's father's forge-empire, but after Xandra attempted to seize control of it, a lot of dragons fled from it and it lay abandoned for years, no longer considered part of the empire. Then, once Gigginox had enough of his father's cruel rule, he left the main kingdom and discovered the volcano a far ways from his father's kingdom. So basically, many many years ago there was a large forging empire built around a few different kingdoms, with Gigginox's family's kingdom at the center of it all. Although, they were less 'kingdoms' and more 'sections/divisions of one giant kingdom', since Ggigginox's family were the overall rulers of each section, themselves being the only section with a Queen. I still don't know what to call the empire as a whole (maybe Umberforger or Emberforge Empire??). But, Xandra came and, after supervising a large forging division of the empire (the volcano and the surrounding city/village) for a while, overtook that kingdom and declared himself ruler and as a separate entity from the Empire. This all takes a little while though, it doesn't happen that fast, but yeah. After a big, but short, war takes place, lots of stuff happens which ends with Gigginox's family letting go of the forge and the city, abandoning it completely. Many years later, the empire is still going strong, but many 'divisions' are now their own kingdoms and have broken away, with the volcano still abandoned due to an ancient decree from the old rulers that states that no dragon of the empire shall enter it's boarders. Of course, some still lived in the city, mostly nomads or travelers, but once Gigginox moved in it became a real kingdom again. There's a forest with a huge tree (where Folium and those guys live) within the boarders as well, who are there own faction, but are still hesitantly under Gigginox's rule.

Ignore, just for fun.
"You look like an older but friendly merchant that gives late game equipment."
"I think that you’re the god that visits the main character in their dreams to tell them about how dark forces are stirring and encouraging them to fight. You stick around, continuing to assist the hero in their efforts, warning them of danger."
"Going from your avatar dragon and some aspects of your bio, you seem like a humble mage. Born from a blue flame, you are positive and intuitive. You always fight for what you personally believe is correct. You voice your opinion a lot because you are reluctant to fight using your physical strength and mage powers. People rely on you because you are strong, reliant and smart.
Because you are constantly fighting for what is right, people come into conflict with you. One day, a disagreement causes the clan of mages you reside with to break apart. You hold your opinion to heart, and fight for it, even if nobody agrees with you. You make your opinion and ideals heard so people know what you are willing to fight for. Someone with an opposing opinion unfortunately ends up ending your life in a fight, due to conflicts during the disagreement. Your final wish is for everyone to be strong and unified. Though you are no longer with the clan, you still resonate within the souls of everyone else, because you have left a mark of your positivity and strength on the clan. This pushes people forwards."
