An eyeball floats before you, somehow giving off the air of irritation despite the fact that it is not attached to a face. Something about the way it just gazes at you, as if trying to figure out what exactly you are doing here seems to lend to the general air of annoyance.
"What are you doing?" it seems to hum at you, despite the fact that again, there is no mouth to emit the sounds you are hearing. You have no answer, and even though you are sure that your expression is stunned or scared, the eye doesn't seem to notice.
"Are you here to trick or treat?"
What?
"If you are, just sign your name here, if you would please, and you can be on your way. No need to go thrashing about the undergrowth and disturbing all my carefully cultivated Umbra Parthenium."
A sheet of paper somehow appears before the eye, asking for your name, among other things that you don't quite grasp. This time, your confusion must show because the eye seems to sigh, rising up and down in more irritation as it produces a rather thick pamphlet of papers, also from seemingly nowhere.
"Read this. And read it carefully, I'm getting too old to chase after you lot with sticks when things go awry," it says.
You pick at the pages and begin to read.
Trick or Treat is an event where individuals roleplay dragons going to one another's lairs in order to get "treats" from one another. It is a fun, casual experience to designed to emulate the fun of trick-or-treating IRL in America!

- Sign-ups begin September 1st.
- Trick-or-treating occurs from October 1st to October 31st.
- You should select two dragons for this process, a treater and a greeter.
- The treater is the dragon that goes to other people's lairs in an effort to find treats.
- The greeter is the dragon in your clan that greets dragons that come to your lair asking for treats.
- In order to participate, post in this thread. I also encourage you to put yourself in the Spreadsheet, to help individuals find people within their tier easily.
- Visit each lair only once per tier they are in. I have created a Tracking Spreadsheet to help you keep track of individuals who may be part of ToT this year.
- If you have any questions or issues, please ping or PM me, @FloatingInSpace.

- As a treater:
- Search through the thread or check the Spreadsheet and see who in your tier has their Lights On, meaning they are accepting trick or treaters.
- Send your treater out to a lair with a cute (or creepy), roleplay message asking for treats.
- Wait to receive a treat, or a trick!
- As a greeter:
- Respond to the message with either a treat or a trick, depending on your tier in a timely fashion, which we consider to be 48 hours maximum*. Use your greeter dragon to return the message!
- We ask you to please keep your Lights On if you are actively going out to trick-or-treat, in an effort to keep things fair.
- *As these past years have proven, things obviously change from day to day. 48 hours is what is expected, but please be understanding if people are delayed due to school, work, etc.
