Hey, you do you! I used to be super picky about breeding pairs, but I learned in the end it doesn't really matter. Lol. Love that for you.

I can understand why others would be picky about breeding G1s though. There's something satisfying about seeing a blank offspring list on a G1.

I recently bought a G1 with the sole purpose of helping with a breeding project.
It also has the added value of looking good with the genes I had laying around. After all is done with the dragon I'm looking for I'll be keeping her.
I breed my dragons (or not) depending on their lore, rarely a perma will be sold, so I don't care.

Edgy.

Thinking back, after having one of my favorite perma's parents renamed, that's when I started focusing more on G1s.

I breed G1s I don't plan on selling. That's mostly because other people prefer clean slates.

Their offspring is usually yeeted though, but that's mostly because I don't sell offspring of my permas.

Anyway, all of his babies are called Baseball, and I'll breed him until he has made enough HomeRuns to pay back his genes.

I love breeding my dragons, and I do breed most of them, or have plans to. I love dragons that come from lore families and dragons that have lore children. I think it's neat to have the potential of continuing stories, perhaps over many users even. So, yeah, I have at least one G1 pretty heavily bred. And yeah, I usually end up exalting all the kids too. But the possibility is part of the fun.

Lineage lists actually have never really bothered me. I've bought multiple dragons with offspring lists, including a G1!

I don't do breedings due to lore reasons :) Most of my dragons are based off my characters, so they only have kids if it works lore-wise (and if it works lore-wise than an offspring list when I buy is fine too.).

Where's the shame in that? I have no less than three G1+non-G1 pairs, and personally find it refreshing when I don't have to assay bloodlines before buying a dragon I intend to breed. That's the whole point of G1s, after all.

Sometimes G1s are the only place you can find Specific Colour Combinations for projects - or at least close enough matches that they can be bred with another dragon! This is especially useful when you're looking to specialise in breeding more unusual combinations.
