An aside on the poses-- both poses are scenting [for] Shade.
Female has whipped her head around because she just caught a trace.
Male has lined up to the wind & is lifting his head into it to fully taste it.
Think of hunting dogs with their bodies and heads in the same positions, and it becomes really clear.
