Gembond is my favourite tert! I still really like the old school iri/shim/gem combination. Crackle is also cool when used well.

Also pink! There are a lot of pink haters out there, but I think the pink range is great! Both the pastel kinds and the eyeburning kinds are welcome in my lair.

Capsule is one of those genes that a lot of people like, at least in some contexts, (including me, it can be very useful!) but there are a smaller group of people who dislike it and are pretty vocal about it on the forums. I don't think it's actually that unpopular overall, since it's basically discount glimmer.

I adore Cherub, Bar, and Seraph. I also have tactical Smirch dragons.

I think Spinner gets a lot of dislike it doesn't deserve!

Clown and Eye Spots. Extremely underrated, I highly disagree with all the hate to Clown in particular. Cherub is one of my favorite primaries. I love the feather-like patterns and the tail stripes. Okapi is one of my top tertiaries.

As for colors: Coral. I don't like pinks, but Coral is actually one of my favorite colors. From what I've seen, the problem with Coral is that with a lot of genes (primaries and secondaries in particular) it's really easy for it to look fleshy. And that's exactly why I love Coral, it's perfect for that effect. Then there's Tangerine. I'll admit, the main color isn't my preferred shade of orange, but have you seen Tangerine Python/Morph? It's fabulous.

I really like Clown, Cherub, and Seraph :x They're older genes & it shows for sure, but on certain dragons they look great and don't add a lot of visual clutter to nice color schemes.

Smirch and crackle can both be really nice in the right context imo.

SCALES! Don't get me wrong it can be a tricky gene to breed. But it can look really good on gene projects! Especially fae's and Snaps! I understand that the colorful genes are flashy but sometimes you need a nice simple gene to compliment them properly. Sugarplum is that gene for me. And Multigaze is valid. Actually dark greens and pinks seem to be the most disliked colors and that's sad because they're both really good when used properly. (I think pink gets a bad rap here because society has tied it very strongly to the female gender but that's not pink's fault guys.) I like violet and swamp and shimmer is my favorite secondary. I think it's kinda fallen out of use due to all the new Gene's and alloy being a kinda better(?) Version.
