It feels good to be back in this community after a 2-year hiatus, let's have fun this year at every festival.

Fixed the image problem, at least for the earned badges I have control over.

I discovered that a lot of my old badges that had worked fine were now just numbers. When I went into edit mode I discovered they were all discord app.

HOWEVER, one discord app badge was still working--one from the Water vs. Nature battle. It had a little difference in the code.

The badges that had cdn . discord app . com didn't work, but the badge with media . discord app . net worked.

I have changed the coding of my broken images and they are now displaying properly.

HOORAY!

Now, anyone else having a similar problem, try that. :)

Of course, this doesn't fix the problem with images on the thread that I have no control over. heheh I can live with that. I can see them on mly laptop.

It doesn't fix the underlying problem with my user data on my desktop, but at least it's something.

THE ONGOING SAGA OF POOR HERDDOG'S COMPUTER MESS: I don't get it. Now I can see all the graphics perfectly. I switched browsers, but i had done that before. Still doesn't work in Chrome, but it now works in Edge. This is making no sense. I'll take it!

I want to let you know that the person running Scrolls in the Flower Fields has quit Flight Rising rather abruptly; I have stepped up to run the event in their stead. Due to their abandonment of the thread, many participants did not get their prompts on time as they should have, so I am extending the event until July 4th.

@Paladingineer looks like op deleted the thread for scrolls in the flower fields as well, im hoping by some miracle the wayback machine can recover the thread for the entries but i wouldn't hold my breath.

im honestly upset, i don't have my writing saved anywhere and that was the longest piece of fiction i'd written in years. was kinda proud i managed to write so much and now its lost.

Oh this is terrible! I was enjoying all the entries even after the first runner dropped out. Please tell me if there is anything I can do.

Unless someone has been saving backups of all the entries, there's nothing that can be done.

Part of me says I should have seen this coming and backed up all the entries myself - in fact my original plan was to personally migrate everything to a brand new thread but I decided against it.
On the other hand this community is generally so wholesome I didn't think OP would go nuclear and really there's no way I could have known ahead of time.

... I do regret not choosing to migrate the thread though. If anything like this ever happens again (which I hope it won't), I'll be sure to do so.

Oh no I just saw that the scrolls in the flower fields thread was deleted. Thank you so much for trying to run the event yourself!! I guess this is a lesson for me to always save my writing someplace else.

Do you think the judges might have saved the entries? It seems unlikely but maybe it's worth asking them.
