He got fed up with Sornieth and left for another game, where he works as a fry cook.

Tidelord actually just wanted to go on vacation on a nice little island ... and then suddenly this raccoon called Tom Nook appeared, built him a house and now he was in debt.
Because Tidelord doesn't want to be in debt, he's now catching bugs and fish, collects shells and deals with turnips. Unfortunately he did not have too much luck with the turnips lately though, the prices were always lower then what he paid for them, poor guy :(
Worst thing is, he already managed to pay off the first part of his house, but when he got asked if he wants a bigger house, he was unable to say no. He also reaaally needed more space for all the cool stuff he already got though.
Another theory is, that he just wanted to take a nap, but forgot to set up an alarm and now he's just napping for a veeery long time in a place that is somewhat well-hidden and that's why no one found him so far.
Last theory I have for now, maybe Tidelord also works on his own videogame and thus he's hiding, so no one can ask him questions about it, especially since he's still in the early stages of developement and doesn't want to say stuff, that might not be true later on!
