Oh, this is brilliant. I'm gonna see what tropes my lore fits into:
-cold-blooded killer/the skekmal
He doesn't have lore yet but I 100% will have at least 2 dragons like this
-my neighbor my neighbor and me/it's a small town after all
Eh, not
everyone, but a lot of dragons know a lot of other dragons.
-canon breed sizes are ignored
Oh, for sure!
-flight ambassadors
I don't have any yet, because I couldn't figure out a way to work them into my lore. I have recently figured it out though and hope to start picking some up soon!
-wind clan has an airship
And? It's cool as heck
-ye olde rpg checkpoint town
Not my whole lair, but a few dragons are dedicated to working in a tavern in town!
-tarot teller
Don't have one yet but I WANT ONE
-the cool old wise mentor reasonable authority figure, usually the progens
At least one member of the Council is gonna end up like this, and it's probably going to be one of my progens
-mandatory modern values protagonists
If I want all my dragons to be gay and trans, then all my dragons will be gay and trans!
-no flight racism, dragons of non-native elements are never suspected of being spies
I mean, it's a port town... a lot of dragons come through here...
-you can be anything when you grow up
It's easier to dress them this way!
-rpg party society
Yeah p much. Minus the florist of course
-alignment on your sleeve
Again,
it's easier to dress them this way!
-there is always a clan library
The clan library, at least as far as I have planned, is pixel books (y'know those adopts) in most dragon's bios that link to dragons they know. And they get shelves to stick stuff on there that represent them! You can see it best
here, tho I haven't linked any dragons to them yet...
I might get an in-lore library eventually tho
-the refugee/tragic deserter
It's how the clan was founded!
-progens are always mates
Yeah
-primal equals power
I'm
planning on inverting this actually! A dragon that hatched with primal eyes but doesn't have a strong connection to their element.
Whenever I get around to writing their lore hahaaaa
-hyper wind dragons
Gotta have at least one!
-tavern keeper
Mentioned this above!
-council of wyrms
Also mentioned this one!
-token designated couple
They're lesbians, harold
-the dashing sky pirate captain
Technically he's a bounty hunter that hunts pirates but shhh details
-that one guy who's whole thing is just gathering herbs, frequently overlaps with master of poisons and bog witch
Actually, they're an apothecary!
-nuzlocke lore
I do have a fodderlocke, but that's not most of my lore
-someone lives in a lair with lots of dangling trinkets and plants
I think I have a dragon like that, but if I don't yet I absolutely will
-it's just danse
No surnames.
also there are so many name tropes? I just use the random name generator lmao
-inorganic growths
I mean, I have one that's a living statue, if that counts?
-literal gameplay and story segregation
Oh for sure. I do NOT want to come up with lore for why my fodder breeder's kids all end up serving the Windsinger.
-lineage optional
Please don't make me think of the children
-carpal tunnel and story integration
I wanna make all the guards lv 25s, if not all coli builds of some sort
-dragons that are constructs brought to life
Is this a batter fit for the living statue dragon...?
-"ex" con artist (or anything similar) who tells everyone he's over his past but nobody believes him
She's an ex pirate, actually!
-put in the fridge
I've inverted this by putting the council of dragons who run the clan in the hibden
-profession as personality
It's easier to write lore this way... though I do try to give my dragons hobbies.
-dragon with grasp apparel and absolutely no lore justification for it it's just there
Listen. There are so many weird apparel pieces. What even IS a flowerfall
-fellow founder
Probably going to be the backstory of at least one Council member.
-the skeksa
Excuse me, she's an
ex-pirate.
-scries in bio
It helps me keep track of things!
-detroit become dragon
THIS ONE. THIS ONE IS LIVING STATUES.
Anyways. I do wanna suggest some sort of "clan members assume primal means stronger element/stronger power when it doesn't" trope. Idk how common it might be but I think it should be a thing
