And more importantly, will they run third party ads (such as the ads that consist of the majority of this thread-not ones for hiveworks comics) at any point?

Hiveworks is testing out new ad code today across their network. The bulk of these changes are to allow better ways to track problem ads and make the ads run smoother. One of the changes across the sites hiveworks manages the ads for to try and fill the holes that can occur between networks by showing a default internal hiveworks-controlled images when an ad fails to load. No tracking data is attached to the hiveworks ad. It is image and a link to promote artist comics. No third party outside of hiveworks images are being shown.
We can look into getting the code on the no-ad defaulters customized for FR after the testing is complete. :)
Please note that we do not provide technical support for third party extensions beyond our control.

Okay, but the problem I have with this is that when I try to directly block the image/element, it still shows up again after I've blocked it. Whatever they're using, it shouldn't be able to get around being blocked as a whole. I blocked it. Five times. And each time, a page refresh had it loading up like it hadn't happened. That's not okay and that's not how any content works, since even images/gifs that people find they don't like can and usually are blocked by adblock. That's one of the things I like about it, since I can avoid seeing things that really bother me/squick me. Not that this squicks me, but the fact that I've tried to block it 5 times and had it ignore that and show up anyway? That's where I have a problem.

Hi I'm not sure if this is something going on with the site or with my computer (I'm running an antivirus scan as we speak...) but I was just on my dragon lair, and I clicked on something (not sure what) and went to a site with pictures of naked women.
Which was really fun when sitting next to my mum and little sister, let me tell you.
Looking in my history, the site is called looking-foraffair.com. I use adblocker but have it disabled on FR.
