I made a joke in this thread but honestly, I wish people would at least try to be kind. I've made suggestions and found the responses to be unfriendly and rude. And then I see someone else make a suggestion and people are kind to them. That's the part I don't understand. Just remember that there is another person reading the words on the page, and it's entirely unnecessary to be mean.

That’s incredibly immature and rude— they are using Suggestions as it’s meant to be used, and criticizing your suggestion is not a personal attack. Users are allowed and encouraged to explain why they dislike a suggestion. If you only want positive feedback, and know you’ll get extremely upset if anyone says they dislike your idea, don’t post in Suggestions. Having a poorly thought out suggestion won’t make people dislike you! There are a lot of suggestions that crop up that get 90% “no support” and die off. I’ve had suggestions of my own that didn’t end up being popular. But being deliberately mean and getting angry and hostile at people for not going “I love your idea and think it’s awesome!” is... not going to earn you a lot of sympathy. :’/ One last thing: Use Forum Search! Some suggestions come up fairly regularly, so people who frequent the Suggestions forum are kind of sick of seeing them and won’t be as gentle when responding. Before you make a suggestion, use Forum Search to see if your idea has been brought up before! If it has, check the thread(s). See a ton of “No support” and no “Supports”? Maybe don’t post, and don’t make a new thread with the same suggestion, since it’ll probably get the same reception. If there are a good number of “Supports”, then you can revive the thread with your own feedback! Necro-ing is allowed in Suggestions as long as it stays on-topic, if I remember correctly. — TL;DR: Don’t take “no support” as a personal attack (it’s not), and don’t be a jerk and insult people for saying “no support”! People are allowed and encouraged to explain why they don’t like any particular suggestion. It’s not an attack against you at all! [/quote] You've seen it more than me obviously so you know, but I feel this sums up everyones feelings in the SF lmao Especially on point 3. The amount of people that get geuninely upset when people say 'no support' and then turn around and say the suggestion forums is toxic is astounding. Yeah there's some really rude people over there (3 immediately come to mind) but it's not the majority. A lot of them are honest (which is how it should be) and I'm not sure why that's 'rude'. Only in a few cases can I think the entirety of them become hostile is whenever the whole "Ban unnamed exalts!!1!" comes up.

Further note: some people are just really, really tired of seeing the same suggestions over and over again and have copy+pasta lengthy explanations for support or no support. They might not be the nicest responses and they may seem extremely nit-picky, but for those who have been around a while, they know what their stance is and have some really long and thought-out supports or detraction.

Also, some peopel value other parts of the site more than others. Lore is sometimes a big draw for people, but for others the economy and exaltion are. That can cause a lot of conflicting opinions so keep in mind that something that might be good for your play style might not be great for people who are more casual or more focused on a different aspect.
