I've seen a lot of people use their username as the name of their clan, but honestly "Clan Noivian" doesn't really... sound right to my ears.

I've been trying to think up alternative clan names, but nothing really sticks out to me. I want to avoid the Warrior Cats method of just "____clan", hence opting for names like "Clan ____" or "Clan of ____". But nothing really strikes my fancy? Rather, I can't think up a name for the clan that I haven't already used for one of my dragons, haha..

Some lore about my clan, they're highly religious, in that they believe that every hundred years or so a piece of the eleven flight deities is reborn into an otherwise "normal" dragon. Essentially, just flight reps with some fancy lore behind it and a clan priestess. Another defining trait of my clan would be the resident grim reaper family, Equinox and her three recent children, along with the adoptive daughter Azrael. In fact, I bring up the question of clan names because I plan to write a story from Azrael's point of view about the struggles of growing up as the daughter of the bringer of death. Kinda edgy, but it'll be a lot cooler once it's written, I promise.

So yeah, help me think up a name? While you're here, why don't you talk about your clan's name and the reason you chose it?

Think of it not as a clan name because a lot of them turn out the same way, but rather maybe an organisation. My clan is called The Blindsiders, and they are an underground criminal organisation of mercenaries, outlaws, and criminals to find jobs. It doesn't have to include the word "clan", just because it is one.

The name could also be a reference to a place to avoid the "clan" word. Since it's a religious clan, perhaps you might twist it in some way to become a Cult, Order, Kingdom, Hive, Nexus. In Borderlands groups who believe in different things have names pertaining to it, like how the bloodthirsty group are the Bloodshots, and the ones who believe in a godlike figure called the Firehawk have the Fire- prefix.

Perhaps a few more examples. One of my OCs is very religious and is set in a fantasy world, and the "clan" she belongs to is called The Order of Rahk'ha, which is the god's name that they believe in. That name could be replaced with a word that describes the following.

Huh, that's a very good point! I hadn't thought of calling my group of dragons something other than a clan... it opens up a lot of avenues for exploring other dragons' backstories in the meanwhile, if I think of it like that.

Haha yeah, I don't think "The Clan of *******" really works either.

My clan is just called The Unknown. Creative, I know.
My point is your clan's name doesn't have to be related to your username at all~

My clan's name is Clan Catfeather and it sounds horrible but I'm too attached to it to ever change it OTL [item=parda] [item=parda] [item=parda] [item=parda] [item=parda]

I had absolutely 0 interest in using my username when making my two clans, though I can't say I have much originality with them...since it's literally just 'Lightning Souls' and AD is more the name of the domain rather than the clan itself.

Fulmen Anima's lore and everything started to develop fully while I was in Lightning and they were more of a..system? rather than a clan. So it didn't really fit to include the clan part there.
4 leaders, each one supervising a section of the Shifting Expanse and ruling over the dragons that live there. And ofc following schedules.

Abyssal Depths is more of a cult than anything, their leader is worshipped like a god and they waged war on my first clan, which resulted in me rewriting the schedule-like way my clan used to be into something..else. (I don't know how to explain it lol)

But the clan still kept the name as a memory of their former days under Bossman's rule because I'm still 25% loyal to Lightning and I can't simply give up that name haha.

I always think religious groups as one large family/village where everyone comes together to worship something/someone rather than a clan so that's what I see when I read about your clan but ofc you don't have to write it that way :)

Mine is currently called "Clan of the Firefly Lantern" but that's subject to change as clan lore is still under construction as it has been since I've been here hahaha

Mine's "the Clan of the Striking Bolt". Literally the most uncreative name for a lightning clan, but I've grown attached to it.
