I don't have any contour dragons at the moment, but it's one of my favorite tertiaries. I think it works especially well with skink and spinner.

I'm planning to give it to my G1. She's a bogsneak but I think the contour looks less messy on mirrors.

Everyone plays FR differently. Everyone reacts to different genes differently (I personaly seriously dislike capsule - for example). And Ya know what? That's totally OK.

I like contour on specific genes/colors. I have a pair of monarch butterfly-type with a brown range tert that looks pretty good! But others may not agree. That's fine too. :)
I'm a runes person. I like speckle and freckle too. But then I like my Tree-dragons so...
It's okay if you don't like contour. :) That's just your aesthetic. ^.^

My Silas fandragon has Contour! Since the actual Silas is an armored cavalier, I guess I just thought it would make his wings look edged:

Personally, I don’t like how it collides with many patterned primary genes, but I usually cover dragons’ bodies up with apparel, so I don’t see it much. X3

Contour never makes or breaks a dragon for me. As said, it works mostly on other flat genes, and just clashes so much with gem genes. Wish it at least had a bit of gradient :I

I think it looks best with Skink/Spinner, but there are certainly other genes that it can look good with. I really like it if it matches the accent color in the other genes, and XXY dragons can look awesome with it.
