egg 1: @TroubledCloud
the second you open the locker, before you can even reach for the egg, a black dragon breaks out of it and streaks past you down the hall, leaving shiny golden trails in its wake. you look down and a spotted yellow-black gryphon saunters up to your feet, giving you a meaningful glance. you can't help but follow it down the hall as it makes its way back to the dragon.

egg 2: @DeafeningCat
once you take the egg, the sounds of bones snapping and cracking emerge from within until finally, a dragon made of some weird metal alloy emerges, its body the exact same color of the egg that contained it. in some places, the metal seems to be replaced with a see-through substance that allows you to see straight through to the bright cyan bones inside it. it does not take its eyes off you, its gaze piercing through you until you agree to let it follow you out.

egg 3: @JustBlackTea
when you touch the egg, the charge it sends through your body is tingly and feels like a low level electric current. you don't take your hand off it, though, and soon enough the shimmery surface of the egg gives way to wings poking out of it. the dragon that emerges reins in the shocks that seem to naturally course through its body, and from this angle, where you can't see the brightly colored spikes, it almost looks normal. it regards you passively, but when you turn to leave it begins following.

the first egg,
drips in a substance thick enough to be blood. the shell itself is blood red, but seems almost .. translucent. you can see vertebrae just faintly through the surface.
the second egg,
seems to have the same slight translucence as the first, but this time in a silvery gray color. it's surface seems more shiny than the first egg, but something red still stirs within.
the third egg,
instead of a semi-translucent sheen, this egg is glass-like. it gives off stained glass vibes, with leaf green and faint orange accents. this egg is rounder than the others, almost a perfect circle.
the fourth egg,
is shrouded in moths. a soft hissing sound coming from within, the color of this egg is beige and cream, and the surface is that of just a regular dragon egg. this one is much smaller than the rest.
@Hilldigarde the first egg,
seems to just melt in your hands. the substance is goopy and leaves red, sticky residue on your skin. what's in your arms now is a ball of .. oh -- it's a mirror! it's fully grown by the time you get home.
@Melivae the second egg,
stays solid in your hands, but it's soft and squishy. the moment you touch it, a red-eyed undertide breaks through the pliable shell. it's full grown by the time you get back home.

---------------
@Baelia the third egg,
seems to even feel like stained glass to the touch. it startles you as it shatters open when you attempt to lift it from it's nest, and out comes a glossy green bogsneak. the little thing grows by the time you lead it back.
@D4rkF0rest the fourth egg,
turns out not to be an egg at all. the moment you step close enough, the moths covering what you thought was the surface burst apart, revealing that they were in fact just surrounding the body of an aether! you end up taking the dragon home, and it's entourage of moths seem to follow you.

Alr I'm hosting next!
The First Egg: The first egg has a thin covering of snow on it, and despite the fact that it's a shadow egg, it seems cold to the touch, though the dragon inside is still looks rather dark colored, with maybe just a splash of color.
The Second Egg: The second egg has a little bit of arcane energy in it, but still remains rather dark. Through the partially translucent eggshell you can see the silhouette of a dragon, but said dragon looks a little bit... too big, and the egg a little too oddly shaped.
The Third Egg: The third egg appears smallest of them all, possibly holding a fae inside. It seems to be a mix of the first two eggs, with a light covering of snow on it, though the egg itself seemed to pulse with a little bit of arcane energy.
