The red egg vanishes with a poof of smoke and, as soon as it dissipates, a grown Obelisk dragon materializes in front of you.

The kaleidoscopic egg bounces off your hands as you try to manipulate it, landing with a [i]boing[/i] behind a large boulder several feet back. You freeze dumbfounded for an instant, then run after it in alarm to make sure it's okay.
There's no egg, but there's a pair of bright-blue eyes watching you warily as the head they're attached to pokes from behind the megalith.

The Bogsneak doesn't seem too keen on approaching you at all, until you offer them some tasty leaves to eat. Then they're suddenly incredibly cool with whatever. It seems that all you need is food to have this guy follow you around for the rest of forever!

@ParkourFail As the egg begins to rock and crack, the inside seems to glitter. Water rushes through the broken shell and for a moment you believe the egg was merely empty before the small veilspun, her colors like a pond glittering in the shadows of a moonlit night, flutters up to greet you!

The skydancer that emerges shakes clean his mettalic hide and grins at you while manifesting his familiar. With a roar, the manticore calls a few more friends to join you!

A lovely pastel coatl climbs delicately from the egg and shakes clean before giving you a friendly wave and signing 'hello'!
