At first, the Icewarden was unconcerned. He did create the cats to help him out, so it was not unusual for them to show up with some request. Then he noticed trays and trays of cookies. And more and more cats. And a quilt began to enter the room. And it continued to enter the room. And it didn't stop entering the room. "I don't remember having this many cats... this is at least 300. I thought I only made maybe 4 or 5 dozen....." The cats hooked the massive quilt to the pulley system and raised it over the Icewarden. He began to feel a sense of fear. "Are these cats rising up against me? Do they seek to capture me and steal my power? What is this strange Cloth Thing they have created. Is this how I die here on this day?" Of course, he wasn't concerned enough to actually do anything about it and wanted to see where this went. It was then that the cookie cannons began going off, and the Icewarden was being pelted with cookies. He snatched one out of the air and ate it. And it was nice! Then, Spaghetti nodded to Oliver, and the Meowsical Theatre cats began to sing as the quilt descended down upon the Icewarden. [color=darkslategray][i]Icey Warden, the Iciest Warden, the Iciest Warden of all! He's got long fluffy legs and big spikey spines and he's super incredibly tall. He lives in the ice! He lives in a cave! We live in a box and eat orbs every day. We present him with quilt so all dragons can say: 'Our Icedad's the warmest of all.' Warm Icewarden, the Coziest Warden, the Bestest Icewarden to date! His children don't hate him, his cats tolerate him, and someday he'll tell us we're great. We'll make him a quilt! We'll bake him a treat! We'll make him so pleased he will jump from his seat. He'll look at his cats gathered round at his feet and go: "Bro, cats are 10 / 10, mate." Our Ice Warden, the Oldest of Wardens, the Ancient Ice Sornieth God. Surrounded by cats and wears quilts as a hat and has leg hair that's braided by fod. He'll love our big quilt! He'll love what we've made! He'll always be warm in his big icy cave. And every good dragon on Sornieth will say, "Let's remember those ice cats, always."[/i][/color] The music of the cats brought a tear to his eye. They really were a good investment. Very reliable and high quality help. And then... the quilt hit him. It was so soft?! So cozy? It was cold, but it felt nice. It felt like something he had not felt before.... was that Warmth?! Icewarden cuddled up in his new blanket. He was sure it had many uses: both tactical and magical. The other gods would be jealous..... Yes, he'll need to write a letter to the Flamecaller immediately to tell her of this new invention of his cats. He turned to the cats and he said "Cats are good. Much better than dragons. Not a disappointment at all. [s]Can't believe the tundras never thought of this...[/s] Please take these gifts as a token of my eternal thanks." The Icewarden opened his wings and... Created more cats. He shook his legs, spawning more kittens from all of his heavenly leg hairs. One kitten per leg hair. Each cat landing in a perfectly constructed snow-box. And so, the cats celebrated their successful quilt! (And all their new friends!) Brisket puffed out his chest with pride - not only did his team come in 3rd for the baking competition, they were able to sell their leftover cookies for plenty fabric scraps and still have enough left over to give to the Icewarden. COFFEE RULES!!![/columns] ((@squidragon Thank you so much for hosting this event! I had a lot of fun participating! I'm also proud of my team for getting 4th overall, just 6 points shy of 3rd place. Also, as a side note - you put the code for the badge for the team with the most points in the place where the code for the participation badge should be. It's not a big issue, but I thought you might like to know in case you want to fix that.))
