Everyone is free to join! Signups were done the week before TCC, but you don't need to have done that to participate. You can just jump in by reading the introduction and making a choice here.

He had expected dirt and rocks, not [i]this[/i]. Even the caves back in Dragonhome look nothing like this. He only stops looking up at the star-like growths on the ceiling when he hears Valena beckoning the group to come see what she has. He squeezes his way through the group so he can see what the Snapper has to show.

[i]It's so beautiful, almost like the night sky over Dragonhome.[/i] He hears Valena start to explain something about the glowing bacteria and the rocks, but he's too far away to get a good look. He thinks about pushing his way to the front row. [i]That would be kind of rude though.[/i] And it was his fault anyway for hanging back to get the scones. "Ehh, an okay trade off if you ask me." Despite his desire to get an up close and personal look at those rocks, Benzene decides to [b]hang back and look at the formations closest to him[/b] while still keeping an ear trained to the Snapper's explanations.

He excited looked around at everything, fumbling through people to get a closer look. This was going to be his only chance to visit the Shifting Expanse until next TCC, so he wasn't about to let any moment go to waste.

While she wasn't hungry now, it could come in handy as a snack for later. Ara followed the group into a cave full of dazzling lights, awed at the glowing patterns on the ceiling. Living in an underwater Water lair, she had seen bioluminescent bacteria before - but not like this, growing all the way on the ceiling. And did Valena just say that the bacteria were growing [i]inside[/i] the rock as well? Ara just had to see this for herself. She quickly pushed her way to the front of the group, trying to get closer to Valena to hear her explanation.

Sakhalin couldn't see it, no, but she could definitely feel it, running down the ceiling, through the stalactites and stalagmites, even running [i]inside[/i] them. If you could feel all that, you could already work out that the bioluminescence had a home inside the rock it was clinging to. Sakhalin's future sight hit Valena's statement of that about two seconds before she actually did, and the little Nocturne used her 'extra' time to shift away from the crowd. It was a bit too dense for her liking, and she could probably get a 'feel' for what she wasn't seeing for herself anyway. Besides, she could look up all this about the bacteria once she got home. (I guess you could say the snacks are now all 'scone'. :P)

For a moment he wondered if it maybe was powered by lightning despite the explanation of bacteria causing the star-like twinkling effect, he quickly discarded the thought though to pick up the speed to keep up with the group. At the next words of the pleasant snapper tour guide, the wildclaw twitched his nostrils curiously. "[i]Inside[/i] the rock as well?" That sounded really funky - and like it would make a great souvenir, though that would probably not possible... with the mentioned special environment that was needed, a sparkly bacterial stone would likely not be able to survive in the home of his clan, the Windswept Plateau. Unable to resist the pull of a curious thing like bacteria growing inside a stone, he[b] moved in closer [/b]- carefully weaving between some of the larger dragons -[b] to Valena[/b] and managed to find a position with a somewhat good view on Valena and whatever she wanted to show to them.

Ha jokes on my clanmates, looks like I managed to get away from socializing despite their best effort. I chuckle as I think of how I won this round. Once a recluse always a recluse I suppose.
