Amaterasu does really want to make painting her career, but she feels like she has to serve the clan in ways that she thinks are more "productive", and that her clanmates will appreciate more (though that may not even be true). There's also the issue of having low self-esteem for both her paintings and herself, but she doesn't really know how to start working on that

Conjectus enjoys the light that emanates from the lanterns, using it as a nightlight to sleep too, a reading light, anything. He tends to be extremely careful with them and likes to craft other paper lanterns as well.

Swain has collected a small hoard of tokens from her travels, most of which were stolen during illicit activities undertaken by the assassin groups. She once made the mistake of stealing from a ridgeback, however, and hasn't made that mistake twice - she now has a not-that-well-hidden disdain of the entire ridgeback species (and a few nasty scars).

Andromeda keeps Keenan in a travel tank wherever she goes, not only serving as a constant companion to her but also keeping her on schedule and making sure Andromeda doesn't lose track of the time. Whenever Keenan starts to thrash about in his tank, Andromeda knows that it's the beginning or end of a class period.

Rundas, in reality, has a humorous and funny soul when he's not on the job. He likes to do arts and crafts in his spare time as well as take care of hatchlings every once in a while. In contrast, he is really serious about his job, though, and won't hesitate to make his enemies pay.

[font=georgia][size=3]Senne is what most would call... traditional. To the brave few, ornery.
The older guardian, bound only by his Charge to the council of advisors upon which he serves, always seems to seek to make it the others' problem. "More efficient" this. "Irresponsible attentions" that. Whatever the group decides, Senne can always be relied upon to provide the nagging contrarian viewpoint. It's become a game of trading coinpurses under the table, whether or not any of his peers can guess amongst themselves what sore hatchlinghood event made him such a grumpfuss.
Mind it not - he's still loved. When not ignored for the sake of a snicker, his points are rather useful if actually heard. One can never be too sure how sound a decision may be, if not faced with its most certain downfall first.

- Rattle actually has a tail rattle, be it actually part of him or artificially fitted onto his tail
- he can see glimpses of past lives when he touches the bones of those he finds, and feels whatever they felt in the last few hours before they perished (mostly scorching on the arid ground, or violence)
- ^ he doesnt like to, but he cant help it
- Rattle wears his hat not only to hide from the sun, but in hopes that the shadows would conceal his face as he travels
