When the mist clears, three doors stand before you.
The first door is a heavy, rusted thing— Shut by a heavy padlock, bound in chains. There is a curious whirring sound coming from behind it.
The second door is a simple doorway, covered and adorned with several swathes of silks that whisper with the winds, shimmering like the midnight skies.
The third door is strangely damp when you put your hand against it, damp and warm and unsettling, as if alive. It moves, as if bubbling beneath your palm.

@Mitski The padlock rattles violently, before it and the chains fall with a hiss. When you manage to push the door open after a monumental amount of effort and perhaps a bit of cussing, you find various scraps of machinery in varying degrees of operation— And amidst those, you spy two friends huddling together for what seems like warmth, despite being robots, their legs creaking pitifully from disuse... Perhaps you should take them in and give them a proper oiling?

@bmkmb Their hand misses the doorknob, because there is no proper door that awaits them as they reach forwards, but the beads and fabrics part beneath questing hands like a bewitched sea, a tear in the universe. The room— It is uninhabited, but warm, as if someone had been spinning silks mere moments before their arrival, taking care to fold and pack it all into a neat bundle. Inexplicably, as they take the package, they know that this is for them.

@abeeinshoes The door contorts grossly as you try to open it and a dozen eyes snap open to stare at you, around you, through you— Then it collapses into strange, bubbling goo, dark and shifting and fathomless. You realise, with mild horror, that the fiery thing that just floated to the surface is an eye. Then there's another. Another. And more and more, in a peculiar line.
