And while it may be true, there's no doubt that it can get hard to recall facts as one's brain becomes full of all sorts of knowledge. Long ago there was a brilliant snapper determined to learn everything there was to know. He traveled the world and interviewed people and memorized all of the wisdom and trivia they had to share with him. But when he returned home, his clan would ask him about all of the things he learned. He found that he knew the answers to their questions but was unable to retrieve the answers quickly. The others often walked away before he remembered what he wanted to say. A young fae from his clan approached him with an ingenious plan. Instead of having to remember everything and then tell the answers to people, why not create a written archive of knowledge for people to peruse at their leisure? The snapper was immediately thrilled by the idea. He'd be able to share his knowledge with everyone without needing to worry about his increasingly slow recall. The only problem was he couldn't write. Snappers aren't really built for desk work... But the fae volunteered to help. When the snapper set off on another knowledge gathering journey, he did not go alone. He and his scribe were inseparable from that point on. He went on to create an encyclopedia of the world's knowledge for dragons the world over to learn from. Today, his descendant Tomo and his scribe's descendant Scribbles carry on his legacy by fact-checking and sometimes gathering new information from the many dragons who pass through the trading post.
