You weren’t aware that your curious peering had been noticed. The gravelly voice belongs to a dragon sitting by a table you are convinced has not moved since its creation. Cobwebs thickly line the wooden planks, a collection of loosely crafted baskets of bending wicker and a sign noting a price sit precariously in front of the dragon. He lifts his tail to scoop up a basket, waving it back and forth. “Would you like to try your claw at taking home something unusual? For only a small fee,” The dragon grins. “Though, I’d be careful…especially with that thing behind you.” You whip around to find nothing there. You hear laughter, and the dragon sets the basket down in front of him with a smirk. “Just kidding,” He winks. “Or, well, for now I am.” You enquire as to the actual area, and are told of four main areas of interest: a fountain, a greenhouse, the entrance and the pergola. There are tales of enticing fruits and flowers to be harvested, each with their own unique features and above all, rarity. “Are you tempted? I would be…” The dragon smiles. “Just for a low fee, of course. And perhaps even some new friends…?” He looks behind you, but you are not fooled. Not until you hear a noise from the path, and you grow cold with nerves. The dragon hands you a basket and chuckles. “Now, be careful,” He purrs. “Oh, if you’d like to know, the fountain is…well, you’ll see. Or you won’t.” You do not like the vagueness of the statement. But you cannot deny your curiosity, and after paying the fee, you take in a basket and begin your adventure, ignoring the chuckling from behind you.
