I got the parents for this Lineage the same way many of us get our beloved lore dragons - as fodder at the auction house.
Onion (above) is the one who started the idea; it was love at first sight, I just thought of her as the perfect baby dragon, and when she grew up, she was even better!
Staghorn was much the same; when I noticed their similar colors, I decided to breed them. And here we are now!
I also happen to have Onion's sister, Shallot! Who I had to hunt down and purchase for an obscene amount of treasure - if I ever breed her, Sallot's offspring will count towards as part of the Root Veggie legacy!
How Do I Get a vegetable Heir?
Currently, you'll have to join a ping list. I will hopefully compile more concise lists of what dragons are available, but this is largely run entirely by myself and I can't be everywhere.
(Right now, it's only me and @IsANoddle handing out eggs, any of those who have children are by no means obligated to give grandchildren to the cause, but it's greatly appreciated).
What Do I Do If I Don't Want My Veggie Child Anymore?
Please, send me either a PM or post here and see if there is someone else who is readily available to adopt! Do not exalt - this is primarily with the main children, but I ask out of courtesy that any grandchildren also be spared a exalt. This only counts towards direct lines from Onion and Staghorn themselves and not anyone else's dragons as even I have limited lair space. If you do exalt, that's completely up to you, but please, see if you can sell them here first!
Show Off Your Dragons!
This is supposed to be fun! There is no obligation to put any money towards these dragons; only if you wish to. The intent is to just have fun with an interesting legacy challenge! I would love to see what all the babies look like as adults!

All of the dragons listed above are generation Zero, their children are gen 1's.
There is no color scheme!! Although avoiding the brighter Neons is recommended!
Breed your veggies with whoever you want! Unless that dragon is also a part of this Lineage!!!
please be sure that the root veg will eventually have lore! Whether it's one sentence or five paragraphs lore just makes everyone feel closer to that root veggie!
All dragons must be named after either a root vegetable or a mushroom!! It should be obvious but don't name the dragons the same as the Gen zeros!
And of course, have fun!
