Personality

A Tundra with a fiery temper, sharp eyes, and a strong will, Gabrielle comes as a sharp contrast to the more stereotypical members of her species. She loves crowds and shops, and can often be seen blazing through the Crossroads or Auction House with three unfortunate dragons being dragged along behind, on the grounds that they need new clothes, now. It's generally to keep her away from the markets when new, highly fashionable items have just been released - Gabrielle will want to buy one of each colour, and will injure snipers trying to get them.

Being so obsessed with apparel doesn't make her dim or shallow by any stretch of the imagination, though! Gabrielle sees apparel as part of the bigger picture - if you look good, others will think that you are good. She can become very frustrated when others fail to understand this - and that's putting it nicely. With her magic sometimes lurching out of control, her temper tantrums can be quite spectacular, and difficult to shut down with brute force. In Gabrielle's second clan, one such hissy fit was responsible for singlehandedly shutting down a bizarre movement in which the ('manly-man'-obsessed) clan members tried to go about 'in the buff'.

Surprisingly, this Tundra is quite embarrassed about her early days. G1s were generally revered and spoiled rotten in her previous clan, but for some totally strange, utterly illogial reason, Gabrielle is very uncomfortable explaining that she doesn't know her parents, her egg was some abandoned thing found in the Mire, and as a hatchling, she was thrown out of the Auction House after attempts to 'fix' all the apparel she saw resulted in a giant magic explosion. No-one in her previous clan had any idea why on earth she's ashamed about any of that, but then again, they're kind of idiots.

Speaking of embarrassment, Gabrielle's triple-basic genes were also a great embarrassment to her. It was so bad that she spent a good chunk of her teenage years wearing enough apparel that her body couldn't be seen. These days, this Tundra tries to hide the fact that she wasn't born with genes herself by 'encouraging' (read: insulting) other partially basic dragons.

Loyalty-wise, Gabrielle will follow any leader! She may seem bad-tempered and very opinionated at times, but this doesn't apply to her moral compass - this Tundra can turn a blind eye to some quite nasty things. As long as no-one dies and the clan leader has enough money to shut her up with some pretty new silks, Gabrielle won't challenge anyone who's fueling her fashion quest. (She will obsessively fix any items of clothing that she sees have been damaged, however. And probably get into a lot of trouble over it.)

Skills

Gabrielle is a self-proclaimed auction sniper, fashion expert, model, and healer. The first three are... questionable, but if by 'healer' you mean that she can fix almost any clothing-related disaster, then this last one is absolutely true. Using magic, she can stitch up the toughest of tears; ill-fitting pieces of apparel can be shrunk or enlarged. Her soapy brews can remove almost any stain from fabric. Holes can be patched with stitches so fine, they're just about invisible, and the patch itself is dyed (with crushed pigments or with colour-changing magic) to be the exact same shade as the rest of the fabric.

Though Gabrielle wears little in the way of apparel herself, she knows how to do all these things quickly and efficiently; everything she repairs hangs correctly after the work's been done. Fixing and tailoring clothes is a skill this Tundra is very proud of, and as such she'll cherish any opportunity she can to show off. If not in her workshop, she is usually found near the entrance of the lair, heckling visitors over what wear and tear their apparel may have suffered. Sometimes, she will even begin work whilst the apparel is still on the (often startled) owners!

This dragon's magic can get very out of hand, usually when she's really angry about something. Since she's spent most of her life so far in various Lightning clans, Gabrielle's destructive temper tantrums usually involve small, localized thunderstorms. Her previous clan, being located in a desert, found that provoking this Tundra by hoard-selling or tearing up a piece of apparel in front of her was useful during summer. However, since her previous clan also happened to be a bunch of MANLY MANGENTA MAN dudebros, this tactic is not recommended for the saner clans out there.
