awh, my condolences for your loss :( it's always a tough choice, putting an animal down, but it's a compassionate choice as well. i'm sure your dog knows you love him very, very much. i got this gaoler because it reminded me of a beloved pet cat i had to put down - [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/55845512][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/558456/55845512_350.png[/img][/url] the gaoler's name is Eyrie :) i actually had a dream about my kitty just last night. in the dream, i saw him in my current home (even though it's not somewhere he ever lived), up on a piece of furniture. then he jumped down, and for a moment i got to pet him. he looked so big & fluffy & bright, too, like i remember him when he was younger. it was very touching, very sweet. i think summer 2019 was when we had to put him down. i've dreamed of him a few times since then, but it had been a while, and it was [i]so[/i] good to see him again ;u; [getting a lil misty-eyed over here] as for the babies of my lair, Klio & MilleTonne come to mind - [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/57747972][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/577480/57747972_350.png[/img][/url] [url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/76400][img]https://www1.flightrising.com/rendern/350/765/76400_350.png[/img][/url] Klio, the gaoler, is a bit of a trickster. a good-spirited prankster. he was made from bones & soil & magic to be the son of my dragon[url=https://www1.flightrising.com/dragon/383980] Klea[/url], who runs the haunted library of a stone castle. love him. mischief boy the baby Aberration is actually an oldie, born all the way back in June 2013. i imagine him with a very youthful energy. the two heads like to cause a bit of trouble for each other (the broadcast message says "no! counting to a million is boring, i'm not doing it again!"), but MilleTonne altogether is a very sweet dragon, if a bit childish - & that's just fine for a lil baby guy :3 sending a soothing cup of Internet tea (if you'd like it). take good care [emoji=familiar heart]

The decision is never easy to make. No matter what, a pet is a member of the family. And loosing a family member hurts, it's indescribable. Depending on the person, thinking about and sharing stories of the deceased can help, as their memory will go on with others too.
