There is no intrinsic difference between G1 and any other dragon. Value is in the eye of the beholder. ;)
This was one of the first dragons to enter my lair, a gift from my daughter-in-law back when Wildclaws were hard to get. He came with Crystal. Later I added Facet and Glimmer.

if you love the dragon and it would make you happy to spoil them with a gem gene, go for it! i've done it a few times myself w/ no regrets, as well as spoiled 'normal' dragons with full non-gem gene makeovers and expensive outfits/accents. life's too short and if you love the dragon, why not show it?

i bought bruma constellation, and they're not special in any way. not G1, no fancy eyes, not an old or rare dragon in any way. just the child of a lore pair that i wanted to keep.
