Celastra
[br]
Celastrus scandens, the American Bittersweet, is a deciduous climbing vine found in central and eastern North America. It flowers in June, producing clusters of scentless star-shaped white flowers. American Bittersweet makes a fine display in autumn, with vivid red-orange berries showing in stark contrast to bright yellow foliage. These vines are popular in fall decor, often used for wreaths and floral arrangements. The berries, while poisonous to humans, are much favored by birds.
[br]
Celastra's siblings are all named for different trees and woody plants. The trend will continue with her children.

Atacama
[br]
The Atacama Desert in Chile is recognized as the driest place on Earth. Some areas of the desert have never experienced rainfall in recorded history. On the rare occasions that rain does fall, seeds that can lie dormant for years at a time burst into a carpet of riotous bloom that changes color as the different species germinate at different rates. To see images of the "desierto florido", check out this article from 2015. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/gallery/2015/oct/30/flowers-bloom-in-the-atacama-desert-in-pictures

Atacama's children are all named for various blooming desert plants. Future ones may also be named for other famous deserts and drylands.
