He's got lore in his bio, but the main gist of it is that he used to be happy as a kid, but then he cracked his head gem when he fell head-first against a sharp rock. Afterwards he became grumpy, pessimistic and would snap at anyone for seemingly no reason. He started wearing a hat to cover it up, but it's still an incredibly sore spot for him.
