@M42 Just curious,, would a drone descendant with obsidian wasp and obsidian peregrine be named DRONE? or would they have a free will of their own, and go off to live with other clans? I just hatched a nest of 5 from a drone and a normal dragon and I'm not sure what to call the babies, if they're part of the hive at all.
I'm assuming the ones without any wasp/bee wouldn't be drones ,,,

I know you weren't asking me, but I like to dip my toes into these kinds of questions anyway. (^v^)
Since the lore is very flexible, you can certainly name a drone descendant DRONE. Since they are descendants and have half of their genetics from a regular dragon, they are equally as likely to have free will as be fully connected to the Hivemind. The amount of connection is entirely up to you. If you want them to be as connected as their parent DRONE or if you want them to have some disconnect, you can totally do that. Let the lore work for you. The description does say that they all have free will. That doesn't mean they can't also be connected to the Hive, though. Some Consciousnesses may find that free will threatening and chase them away or hunt them, some might see it as an advantage or weapon and keep them around.
As for their genes, they can still be descendants even if they don't have wasp/bee. The only hard requirement is that they have a DRONE parent (and even that is probably subjective, if someone wanted to have a dragon unrelated to an actual DRONE to have a connection to their Hive, I doubt anyone would object to that). Again, the description for the genes says "Any/Any, Any/Any, Any/Any" and also says "...And may have...many or none of the features of their drone parent," so their connection to the Hivemind, which is entirely up to you, is the only thing that would really determine whether or not they're drones or connected at all.
