@Azurenight Yooo, I was wondering when your thread would show up. :D *pats Dash* I have a whole slew of Ice dergs, all of whom have long lore. For now, please let me share this pleasant old fellow and his story. (It's a little under 2,000 words. Sometimes I don't know when to quit. :'D)

As much as I love them, the dragonets never listen to me. As to settling into Verglas Manor, it was extremely challenging! Being Loran's charge, it was very difficult to convince him to allow us to make the castle more habitable. When we finally convinced him to make a few minor changes, we started allowing travelers in. This presented another problem for us, as Loran didn't trust strangers near his charge. Thankfully, my friend Thailia stepped in and started vouching for most travelers, as long as she didn't pick up on any bad energies. Loran had the final say, of course and since has become quite adept at reading other dragons. Oh! I just remembered that the dragonets read your questions for me and asked me to tell you about the spirit of the manor. According to the dragonets, a female spirit with a similar visage to the Icewarden can be seen roaming the halls or talking with Loran in the night up until the Aging Ceremony. I would be inclined to dismiss this as a dragonet's fable, but this has popped up among them too many times to count, even if there are no older dragons who experienced the same spirit around. To be honest, I believe that the second nest I ever raised brought it up for the first time, and the first nest had already left the clan. I don't know what they're talking about, but perhaps there is a grain of truth to their tale.

I suppose I'm always happy to educate. My name is Galan. I currently reside in a Plague clan, the Toxic Wastes. I am an Ice dragon through and through, however, and I do not intend to stay here forever; this is merely a good crossroads area to hopefully head off the dragon I am hunting before he gets any farther. I believe he may still be south of me somewhere... Ah, but I get ahead of myself. I am a Warden. We are an ancient order of law-enforcers based in the Fortress of Ends. We are all Ice flight, and we all blend in with our icy homeland, though many of us leave the Icefields to venture out across Sornieth in search of justice that needs serving. Legend has it that we were once a mighty force, though our reach and power has... dwindled. Nevertheless, I am determined to do my job. A dangerous fugitive by the name of Hope is my current objective. I managed to shackle him, but he escaped; I have been searching for him ever since. Unable to find him in our homeland, I came here in the hopes of heading him off once he crosses over to the mainland. I've even apprehended a prisoner in my time here; Merten, a very dangerous Wildclaw. I intend to take him back to the Fortress when my mission is done. Until then, I'm using him as a way to scout out Hope, with the promise that I will release him should he aid me... A lie, of course. I regret resorting to such tactics but there's just no reasoning with rouges like him.

@Azurenight You should really start a pinglist for this. I actually came looking for this thing because you normally do one for each holiday. They are enjoyable. So, I still only being an Arcanite, I'll just have to show you my ice dragons and how they've come to fare in the Starfall Isle. ~~~ Ulysses here is actually quite fond of the warmer weather of the Starfall Isles compared to her homeland. She was a miner in the Icy Mountains for many years but eventually made her way across the Southern Sea into the Windswept Plateau for her own comfort and advancement and journeyed from there, finding herself in my clan. It can get a little warm for her some days though. She tends to be below ground level most of the time though, so she is usually in a cool environment anyway. It is still warmer than ice and snow though. Shira, though not really an actual dragon, being a spirit, takes on a very ice-like appearance and magical style. It is currently theorized that she actually absorbs thermal energy to sustain herself, allowing her to use spells that appears like Ice magic, even if they may not be. If this is the case, than she might be weaker in the Southern Icefields than my clan and may be even stronger in hotter areas. Her "father" doesn't let her stray too far though, as she is young, foolhardy, powerful, and lacks the discipline and ability to control her abilities on a large scale. She actually canceled out a deadly heatwave when she was first created, actually causing a blizzard due to the heat fueling her development. She wouldn't mind visiting the Southern Icefield, but she may not have the power to stay if she does. Fen here is wolfish on every level, even almost physically. He rather enjoys the warmer climate because it has more food and it is easier to train and breed beasts when ice isn't always nipping at his feet. His thicker than average fur does cause some problems sometimes though. He loves his homeland, seeing it as a land of unforgiving pressure to be the strongest one can be. It grinds dragons to who they really are. It is more honest than the false security of the Starfall Isle, even if it is less comfortable. Despite this, he has not been home in years, as he has commitments now. Someday, when he has nothing left to train or breed, he might go home to the bitter cold.

Dash stood to greet his guests from the Misfits. "Welcome, it is so good to see you again!" He offered seats then returned to his own to listen to their story. As he would normally, he recorded their stories and created copies of the images offered. And as usual, after hearing the stories he had questions. "All of these stories are incredible, however, I am curious about this dark Imp and why he seems to be harassing your doctor? If you don't mind me asking of course. And Naomi?"

Hey there, welcome back! As always, beautiful drakes =) I have to say I liked them all, but my favorite is Minuit. She's beautiful and her lore is awesome, her son's is hilarious. I've heard a lot of Naomi, but that's the first I've heard of a religion to it-- that I can remember. Thank you for sharing! =D

Dash of course recorded every word of Crystaline's story, which caused him an unconscious shiver. The thought of being frozen in a block of ice was unsettling at best. It made him very thankful that their own engineers' lab was situated away from the main lair, deep within the mountain, and surrounded by protective wards-- and thick walls.

Though, it might be best if Flux and his team never-- ever-- catch wind of this experiment. Dash quickly jotted down a reminder to have the book hidden it from the technomacers' view.

Hey there, good to see you again =) As always, Crystaline is absolutely beautiful and his lore is amazing. I really enjoy reading it and if he ever does redo the experiment I would love to read what happens =D. Also, got caught in your lore again... spent a good hour and half there... I love your Shade-Touched lore on Veritas... Dash is drooling *nudges Dash to get him to clean himself up.* Annnd I so completely respect you for not knowing when to quit! =D

@Azurenight Crystaline grinned at the hooded Wildclaw. "Thanks for listening young'un. Hey, if you're interested, I could show you some more plans I made for...Hey, where're you goin'? Awright, on second thought, maybe it's best if I don't share this stuff too widely...." ----- Haha, thanks for reading Crys' lore! Funny thing about it is that it was inspired by his purchase: The previous owner had just come back from hiatus, which I'd imagined as the lair being frozen, and I bought Crys with a bit of treasure and plenty of food. And thanks for wading through the rest of the stories, too. x3 Vera's lore is a bit rough, but I think it fits her slightly bumbling style well, so I'm glad you like it, too. Happily, Crys' freezing machines come into play later on in the lore of Euclid and Apophys, in brief but pivotal moments. Apophys' lore is a bit dark, but fortunately Crys' machines are more helpful than harmful here. Feel free to look in on the stories any time you want. Just another heads-up, both are very lengthy. ^^' Euclid: 1,840 words Apophys: 3,943 words

Dash writes every word, every story, carefully in his newest journal, minding to not miss anything. When finished he looked up to address his guest to find they had vanished into the crowd. His attention switched back to the journal, so much history lay between the pages, so many lives lived. With a smile that spread up one cheek and up the other he prepared his pen for his next guest.

Hey there, very good to see you again! I wanted to let you know that the idea of a pinglist has not once crossed my mind in the near year I've been doing this. When you suggested it, I thought "That's a really good idea! Why didn't I do that before?" So I made one. I went ahead and put you on it for the next festival, just let me know if you'd like to come off =D.
Also, your drakes are gorgeous and your lore for them is awesome. Though, I have to ask about Marco, I saw the image of the person shes a fandragon for, but I'm not familiar with them. When I entered her name into Google I got images of a soccer player? Anyway, can you tell me who she's based on? =D Thank you!

@karaglen00

Dash had to chuckle, being as he had experienced how stubborn a Guardian can be concerning their charges he had no doubt of the difficulties the clan faced when attempting to get the castle livable. It was a testament to their strength for sure.

When Karaglen began discussing the phantom that roamed the halls, at first he thought it little more then a cubs tale, but his opinion of it changed with his guest's explanation. Too many little ones had witnessed it. "That's interesting. Did Loran ever confirm this?"
