Have you read wings of fire? It's a book about different dragon clans and their respective species going to war, pretty good stuff if you like warrior cats. I was thinking it'd be cool to have a subspecies based on one of the dragon species from Wings of Fire, specifically the rainwings!

For those who haven't read the series, Rainwings are a species of dragon that live in rainforests. They can change colour and their colour often reflects their emotions. They have frills on their cheeks, a prehensile tail that can wrap around trees and deadly acid-venom spitting fangs. The subspecies doesn't have have to BE rainwings, maybe just based off them.
Here's the idea so far:
Species: Faes
Primary: Iridescent
Secondary: Alloy, shimmer (Maybe facet? And possibly a secondary species with butterfly)
Tertiary: Glimmer
Flight: Any, but bright eye colours preferred.
Because rainwings are known for their bright, tropical colours this subspecies can only be bright colours. No blacks, whites, greys or browns. Their colour changing aspect comes in with the second big restriction - rainwings colours must be at least 5 colours apart on the wheel. So no XXXs, XXYs ect. Preferably the rainwing would be three seperate colours, as shown by the example.
Is anyone else interested in this idea? I'd need help to make it a reality.
