Sierra loves rockclimbing and mountaineering. Climbing and hiking are her passions and she does so as often as she can. Sometimes she acts as a guide for other climbing newbies and teaches them the ropes and the do's and don't's. When asked why she doesn't just ask someone to fly her up to the mountain tops she tells them that it's not about the destination, it's about the climb itself. In addition, she is an expert at finding fossils on mountains. She knows which stones most likely hide fossilized things, or which stone is a beautiful geode.

Ever since Aethers came back to Sornieth, Variant has been beyond paranoid about the safety of the library, even going so far as to develop a foul tasting, paper-safe spray to put on every book and scroll. She also makes sure to keep the library under constant surveillance to keep the valuable tomes and scrolls safe. She's already lost three pricey scrolls to hungry Aethers, she's not about to lose anymore.

His methods of efficiently and safely handling unstable samples of plague viruses and arcane energy has had a huge impact in the magical community, but because it's not what he's aiming for he constantly forgets that he has several specimen storage techniques named after him.
