These resources will float down the river during gentler seasons to provide for the other territories that are less fortunate/under developed. Each grouping is noted by a colour of flower/candle that communicates which biome the parcels are for. It's a time to celebrate all that the community has to offer and acknowledging that without one there would not be the other (there would be no prestegious professions without the demand of the ordinary dragons). unnamed event: secret ritual that makes use of an old portal ground. A high level mage casts a ritual that awakens the portal and sends out a specialised scouting crew. This can only be performed under certain circumstances. Things important to the clan; • building community. The Wastelands have forced dragons to go solo for far too long, so one of the main goals of the clan is to build a community that has strong relationships, and works together to survive. For the most part this is successful because a lot of the dragons must have a caring nature to want to restore nature, some are selfish and only want to live a luxurious life (compared to the wastelands). • What does the clan do wrong? While their beginnings were noble the more they progressed with their goals the more selfish the clan members are become. The original goal is becoming lost amidst the complexity of religion and personal values and beliefs, and what fits best in the community. The social admiration of magick and holding those that possess in a higher light serves as a direct conflict against the balance they strive to attain for the mother. The following social hierarchy that has since developed in muddying the waters and paving the way for more fickle values to grow within the community. Tensions are beginning to build. Meanwhile nature is beginning to become overgrown, as a direct result of the expansion and subsequent mutation of magick within the community as well as the imbalance that is beginning the rear it's ugly head. Without some evil in the world things cannot stay orderly, culling is being ignored and is causing the extinction of species of fauna and flora, while more invasive species have been spread into other ecosystems with the (unnamed event) where forage is sent down river for the less fortunate. Stray parcels are floating up on land and seedinglings are overtaking the areas once dominated by native species. Another point of contention is amoungst families in the community. Magickal families are favouring their hatchlings born with magick while caring less for those born without and in some cases even ignoring the hatchlings that are being left anonymously in the communal breeding ground to be adopted by another family. This is a threat to the community lifestyle. Although the areas are filled with life, and many sources of food and building materials, there is little in the way of advancement. The clan lives a somewhat primitive lifestyle - the only advancements are with wild weaponry (think weapons makes from sticks, stones etc), drying of produce, and small amounts of cooking by fire. Magickal abilities could lead the way for more advancements but the clan will never have certain advancements, like iron tools or augmentations, circuitry or electricity (apart from magickal but more in a lightening way rather than a powering a home way). special atributes of the space • protection via magickal shield. This shield is from etherial magick and cast by an unknown dragon. It acts as a blanket that veils the lands via sky - those below can see through the curtain to the skies and those above only see a thick darkness and fog giving the illusion that the ravine is bottomless and dangerous. • protective curse - those who seek to leave the lands, or do not have a great belief in the mother once they are leaving (even for clan duties), will suffer from amnesia upon leaving the lands and once in the wastelands cannot remember how to get back or where they came from. They will retain any magickal abilities they have. Only 2 dragons have been known to be immune to this curse. • social curse - while dragons of the clan venture outside and may attempt to barter or convince others to come with them a lot of dragons outside the lands do not believe their stories. Most dragons of the clan are seen as delusional to communities outside of these lands, and thus are not believed. • tensions from war - generational trauma has seen a lot of dragons become untrusting, and so if anyone from outside the lands is ever granted access it can always take a while before they come around to the idea of community living, the mother, and all else that happens within the clan. A lot chose to leave, feeling uncomfortable with suddenly having to share spaces with other dragons, and not having to fight for resources. Some just find the clan's life too boring after the excitements and anxieties of the wastelands.

In this eerie market all realms interwind.

Vast lands scattered with secret Groves,
Hidden well within the Forest's hold,

Behold the mysteries that govern this place,
Treasures of plenty held within Nature's embrace,
Shrounded beneath the mossy carpets,
Deep within the Farmer's Market.

It's an ancient space that dates back to the walk of the first dragons, and thrived as a sacred place for The Mother and her followers, who built many places of worship and tended to the needs of Nature in harmony. His fury unleashed shockwaves across the lands and caused weakening in the grounds below The Grove. Vereheim went on to bring about the complete destruction of The Grove by burning it to ash. This crew saught to excavate deep underground and locate an ancient relic that would grant everlasting life to turn it into their master in exchange for promised treasures and riches. In a sour twist of fate, this crew was comissioned by one of The Mother's very own children. With the ground above scorched and weakened it did not take much disturbance before the caves created during the search collapsed and a great cave-in would follow that saw hundreds of feet of earth, soil and scorched trees, pulled down into a massive sinkhole - leaving behind an expansive bottomless ravine in the earth. An unfortunate dragon, exhausted from the hardships of the Wastelands, fell from flight. The dragon's limp body plummeted into the ravine and crashed down hard onto the ashy and uncushioned ground of The Grove. It was this event that would see life within the destroyed Grove begin anew. Carpets of moss sunken and sullen,
shroud what lays beneath,
Down by The Grove.

Creeping branches cast warping shadows,
unwelcomed shapes dance and sway,
tangled roots stretch and splinter below,
Down by The Grove.

A thrall of light slinks down,
revealed hidden amongst thrashing leaves,
eyes so bright - full and round,
a raven darting between the trees,
Down by The Grove.

history
Pillar by Bluedragon #1005 The Grove has a rich history that spans across hundreds of years. It's an ancient space that dates back to the walk of the first dragons, and thrived as a sacred place for The Mother and her followers, who built many places of worship and tended to the needs of Nature in harmony.
GwQcLWW.pngXt70gnd.pngXsgAS6Q.png

That harmony was broken when unrest brewed into a centuries long War that awoke Vereheim, the God of War, from his slumber deep in the mountains. His fury unleashed shockwaves across the lands and caused weakening in the grounds below The Grove. Vereheim went on to bring about the complete destruction of The Grove by burning it to ash.
eNjRIXq.pngbwec4n6.pngpVrvnwm.png
Once The Grove was destroyed and The Mother had fled, the space was left open and a crew of dragons moved in. This crew saught to excavate deep underground and locate an ancient relic that would grant everlasting life to turn it into their master in exchange for promised treasures and riches. In a sour twist of fate, this crew was comissioned by one of The Mother's very own children. With the ground above scorched and weakened it did not take much disturbance before the caves created during the search collapsed and a great cave-in would follow that saw hundreds of feet of earth, soil and scorched trees, pulled down into a massive sinkhole - leaving behind an expansive bottomless ravine in the earth.

clan's beginning

In the beginning the area was littered with the remnants of old worship grounds - their stoney structures scattered across the land when the earth fell into the ravine. These stones, and some small surviving structure, were instrumental to the Iridescence and Agualade's survival - resources were less than scarce in these parts and finding free resources to build a home was more than lucky, it was fate. Iridescence was steadfast in her beliefs in The Mother, and believed she would provide for them aslong as they followed her will.

Iridescence had an unusual form of nature magicks, she could conjure and command a vast variety of plants at will - from whipping jagged vines as a form of protection to growing a lushious meal for herself or others within seconds. She used a small amount of this magick to provide basic sustenance for the both of them while reserving the majority of her energy to channel her magick into the ground to encourage the deep hibernating seeds to sprout fresh growth. This began Iridescence's own charge of restoring the ancient lands of The Mother.

This would be the beginning of years of work still set out for the pair, who would later be joined by other like-minded dragons that, together, would accomplish the restoration of The Grove and begin transforming the land etched out in the Ravine.

The Beginning

The Grove is part of an Ancient Woodland that had stood for centuries, even when The Mother and her children roamed the Lands. It was an unfortunate casualty of the War and had lay rotting, filled with row after row of dead trees. It was the first resting place of the Clan's founding Dragons and later became the main base in the beginning days.
Hawthorne, a tree obelisk. He has thick green leaves growing from his mane and a magical stag familiar.

Hawthorne was a frequent roamer of the barren Woodland. Scarred by the past it lay wasted and rotting, with a large portion of it burned down by fire dragons. Not many called it home and very few would travel a path through the rough and jagged splintering terrain, and this brought Hawthorne some comfort as not many dragons crossed his path. While out scavenging for food he came across something that left him astounded, fresh young saplings shooting from the ground. Following this new life brought him upon two dragons that were tending to the broken Earth. Unbeknowst to him then, a lifelong friendship would form between the three.

Observing the raw power to heal Nature that Iridescence possessed was enough to convince Hawthorne to join the dragons and form a very small clan. It's here that he learned of the ancient deity "The Mother" and a glimmer of hope grew in him for the first time; a hope that he could put his trust in these dragons and that, with time and hard work, things could change for the better.

Things moved quickly from there, the power that Iridescence held grew day after day, and the Woodland started to regrow at an extremely fast rate - with young saplings growing into tall and strong adult trees within a matter of months instead of years. It was this fresh lush growth that attracted the eye of a peticular dragon who had been observing the skies, and soon Juniper was in contact with the humble group.

Harvest, a female tree obelisk. She has branches growing from her shoulders that have bright white leaves. White flowers grow from the mane around her head and she is accompanied by a golden owl familiar.

In awe of what she saw in the Ancient Woodland, Juniper sent her friend, a young new mage named Harvest to join the Clan. Together all four of them worked, trained, and lived together. Hatwthorne became a particularly stand out character, settling into recognising what the Earth needed and making sure his clan mates sought what Mother Nature was after. All worked hard, restoring The Grove to it's former beauty and creating strong bonds with one another as they grew together. As time went on, Hawthorne took a particular liking to Harvest's calming and relaxed nature and her care and attentiveness to those around her.

The Mothers Gift
Thanks to their efforts to heal Nature, to restoring The Grove and Harvest's devotion to The Mother, both Dragons were imbued with a very special magic tied to the Nature element: where both could call forth magical familiars with their own unique abilities.

Hawthorne's familiar: Quick Foot, a magical stag. Harvest's familiar: Golden Wing, a magical golden owl.
Harvest's familiar, Golden Wing, is an etherial owl parted from a portion of The Mother's soul. He can be called forth to survey the Lands, and look for any danger or damage. Sometimes he is sent out to deliver messages to others in the Clan when danger is near. She also has the ability to posess Golden Wing, seeing through his eyes and guiding his direction. Harvest herself was imbued with a small portion of The Mother, and now she exudes a calming and light aura that sweeps across the entire Grove, as well as an enhancement to her natural magical abilities. She is now a very powerful mage and healer.

Hawthorne's familiar, Quick Foot, is a mystical elemental stag that has strong telekinesis abilities. When called forth he usesthis telekinesis to manipulate objects. His abilities were used to clear away rubble from a landslide that trapped Dragons, and has been used to clear felled trees after rough storms. Hawthorne is incapable of harnessing magic, and so instead he is able to conjure and direct his familiar with use of a magical talisman that he keeps safely adorned around his neck. He cannot call Quick Foot forth any other way.

Post Summoning
Juniper, a tree skydancer with large hulking branches and white flower growing from her body. She is accompanied by colourful little birds nestling into the branches.

A failed teleportation spell summoned unknown creatures into this Realm and soon after Juniper disappeared. With the main Charge of the Lands mysteriously gone things started to change within the Clan...

Harvest and Hawthorne were both present the night of The Summoning and have been left shaken by the incident. The reports came in a few days after the Unknown Creatures were pulled through the portal. Incidents in the Swamps; where the ground would cave in and anything in it's path was swallowed into a hole so deep you could only see the darkness below.

Upon receiving a highly unusual Raven message from an unexpected pair deep within the Bogs of the Swamp both knew action needed to be taken. At the time Harvest took flight with Quick Foot and spotted a lot of ground that had been destroyed or heavilly disturbed and surveyed a massive sinkhole in the Bog Waters that was sucking the water down into the pit and rapidly decreasing the water levels of the area. With such unusual disturbances occuring to the lands around the Summoning area Hawthorne knew they were linked to the Unknown Creatures that hid away underground, and so liasoned with Juniper who took charge of investiagting the dangerous areas.

Effie, an obelisk dragon. She is adorned with white draped cloth with books of all kinds attached.

After her disappearance Harvest and Hawthorne teamed up with Effie to try to figure out the mysteries that surrounded the Clan. They are working in the background,;with Harvest liasoning with the other residents in the Lands to gather information, Hawthorne using Quick Foot's abilities to fill small holes and try to block the bigger ones to minimise damage, and Effie - equipped with her knowledge of all of The Lands and logs found in Juniper's abode, sets off to investigate the last place Juniper was seen: at the mouth of the sinkhole in The Bog.

The Beginning
The Blooming Grove is the Heart of the Clan, it was the first true Haven created by the efforts of the founding Dragons that shared a strong belief in the forgotten deity; Mother Nature, commonly known as "The Mother".

The lands here were once as barren as the nearby Plains but with great attention to the lands and regular offerings to The Mother, a magical blessing was bestowed upon the area and it's now flourishing with bountiful resources paving the way for a multitude of animals and insects to find a new home here away from the harsh Wastelands.

As the Clan grew a new charge was needed, and so the Blooming Grove was left in the trusted hands of Sparrow and Sage, two magical dragons who shared a strong belif in the forgotten deity "The Mother"; Mother Nature.

Sparrow and Sage, inspired by the hardwork and dedication of the founders, vowed to continue to make The Blossoming Grove a safe and plentiful place and for every creature to live without the fear and uncertainty of the Wastelands.

Thanks to several years of specialised care the Grove doubled in size, calling home to animals and insects long thought to be extinct. Sparrow and Sage's efforts had not gone un-noticed, and one night they received a great blessing from The Mother. Sparrow was gifted with elegant golden branches that grew from his shoulders, rooting him with magical abilities and symbolising the home he helped to build for so many. Sage was gifted with lushous leaves that grow from her mane, and an intricate pattern of vines where large golden flowers bloom that spreads out magical pollen to assist her with growing the land.

They would be forever changed, and imbued with a portion of The Mother's soul forever.

She was taken in by another dragon there, Alder, who taught her "the ways" of The Mother and with so many new recruits coming in the leadership wasn't always the most vigilent. She was manipulated by Alder, not being taught about the loving caring ways of The Mother and how to care for Nature but instead taught ways of magick unknown to the clan and experiments. • Tensions grew between Alder and the rest of the clan as he became more braizen with his antics, soon causing problems for others. The rest of the clan didn't like him as he wasn't following the ways of The Mother and once he had Acacia hooked he really started to hone in showing his true colours. The others hadn't noticed it was Alder who was the cause with his experiments, and with the unknowing help of Acacia, had withered the harvest while trying to develop a new magick. • During one of his experiments there was a problem, he accidentally imbued too much of himself into his work. As other problems started to appear in the clan (more unknown punishments from the mother) others began to feel the effects with their territories dying/withering. One curious dragon was piecing together the dots and figuring out Alder was behind the problems. • One night during an especially bad experiment where a whole crop of Quinoa decayed to rot before Alder's eyes after he used his new found magick The Mother finally responded. Alder, and subsequently Acacia, were both cursed to be imbued themselves with their magick but something was amiss and soon the magick warped into something unintended. Thick mushrooms grew from the scales and spores imbedded in their manes, anything they touched began to grow mushrooms too. With the clan sensing this danger Juniper offered Alder a deal he could not refuse: territory. Guised as a title and change in power (he gets more) but it was a trick, and Juniper had led them into an area where she had cast an ethereal magick to keep their dark magicks at bay and from spreading. Alder has a deep seeted hatred for the clan he is now entrapped in, and seeks revenge one day. [s]----[/s] Post Summoning • After Juniper disappeared all of her influences started to weaken, including the barrier holding in the dark magicks of Alder and Acacia. Although they themselves could not leave their symbiotic roots (and still to some degree could not pass the barrier themselves) they realised that their hatchlings could, and so would raise those with their magick to believe they were wronged, with the goal of sending them out to infect more areas so they could have more power and move around freely, thus putting plans into place for Alder to enact revenge. • He did not anticipate, however, that not all of his hatchlings would show the innate magick and was unaware that it may take time to develop. He would abandon those showing no magickal prowess at birth and take in those with magicks unaware that they possessed different or mutated versions of their magick.

----
Post Summoning

• After Juniper disappeared all of her influences started to weaken, including the barrier holding in the dark magicks of Alder and Acacia.

He would abandon those showing no magickal prowess at birth and take in those with magicks unaware that they possessed different or mutated versions of their magick.

in eerie stagnant waters they sleep,
From the Whispers of the Marsh.

Yet you find silence within these depths,
there are no eerie creatures to be seen,
murky stinking waters lie abandoned,
In the Whispers of the Marsh.

As night beckons bright fireflies appear,
menacing shadows cast ghastly shapes,
a flash of scales with a mossy sheen,
two Creatures united beneath the moon,
They are the Whispers of the Marsh.

Immaculate Tablet Item Event: The Path to Peace
Things are beginning to wind down after danger has passed, trained dragons have been sent out to help protect the vulnerable and have brought back new families seeking respite and safety.

Summer air, enriched with the salty breen of the ocean and the earthy scent of the loamy tilled soil, blows by in a soft embrace enhancing the welcoming feeling of the small plot laying before you. Stalks grow faithfully from the tended soil, speckled with hues of golden amber and striking white heads of wheat rippling clamly in the light cooling breeze, each wave sending out a serene and peaceful energy. This tiny plot stands between the bouders of a shimmering sea and a quiet woodland, accompanied by a tiny shack adorned with drying harvests and delicate decorations lining it's shaded windows and creaky door. Two bright and sunny dragons are sifting soft sand down an embankment just off from the house, seeking to find unique shells and sea glass for their next project.

SANDY SOILS

A beautifully lush wheat crop is laid out before you, bright yellow and white hues sway in the light Summer's breeze against the cerulean sea that glitters and shimmers in the mid-day sunlight. All this beauty is nestled into a small cove and clearing just at the Forest's edge, you'd never know it was here unless you walked through the expanse of lush green trees for hours. Two dragons live here tending lovingly to the crops, their wheat fields are growing strong and tall in sandy loamy soil, the trick? The supporting rocks below providing vital nutrients despite the well draining soil leaching it away. Despite this lucky intervention from Nature the pair do have to water their crops twice daily to ensure the plants stay well watered.
