Kazul noticed that several members of the clan were acting excited, and there was a new buzz about. She stopped one of them,
Sunfall, and asked what was going on. The obelisk explained that one of her relatives was having a birthday celebration, and wanted to visit all their family around Sornieth. Kazul realized that all the dragons who she had noticed this extra activity and excitement from had come from Conch and Basic's clan, a nearby clan that had many dragons join hers. Knowing that this clan held family at a high level of importance, Kazul suggested they host this relative for a day or two, and allow him to see how all his family here was doing. Sunfall was thrilled to hear the Matriarch offer the hospitality of the lair, and began making preparations immediately.

Happiest of birthdays!! Kazul's clan would love to host Amyas for his special day. We've got a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and more here to celebrate and share stories of their time here. Here's who will be greeting him when he arrives:
Sunfall doesn't typically *do* party planning, she's a guard after all, but is so excited to meet her. Cousin? Uncle? She's never been very good at tracking HOW they're all related, but she's happy to have such a large family anyway.
Backfire has a keen sense of smell, and has used to to prevent fires in the surrounding areas, especially during drier seasons.
Cheerful has a way of connecting to and comforting others when they're struggling, and has been helping with keeping the dragons here when they need someone to talk to.
Blink's hyperactivity and strong drive to protect others led to a perfect fit as one of Kazul's scouts, watching the surrounding forests for encroaching beastclans or more aggressive dragon clans.
Rime Frost found themselves in the Scouts, and when Blink joined, Rime took him in and showed him the ropes, taking on an older brother sort of role.
Cardamom has become invaluable in the feeding of the many dragons here. Their keen sense of spices and flavor has made everyone's cooking and baking better.
Wildernessa found herself to have a natural skill at moving quietly through the woods, and lent her talents to the hunters. She took in a river flight, and has trained it to hunt alongside her.
Springmoon found themself learning and exploring concept about how they fit into the the clan here, and the world at large. After some time, she found some answers, and even more questions. She learned that others were having similar internal journeys, and decided to start helping others with those harder questions. They've found themself working with many dragons in Kazul's lair, supporting and guiding through harder times.
Masque found herself not really finding any of the more mundane jobs around the lair to be the right fit. She was too energetic, too creative, and couldn't handle monotony. After a little while,
Taffy and her Troupe stopped back at Kazul's to replenish supplies and rest. Masque was in love with the life she saw. She asked to join the Troupe, and Kazule gave her blessing. Taffy took her in and learned that Masque had a fantastic dexterity and coordination, and taught her to dance with scarves and ribbons. Now, Masque is a full-fledged member of Taffy's Traveling Troupe.
Lindon is one of the youngest of the lair, spending most of his time playing and learning with the other adolescent dragons. While he still has a long time to decide where his passions lay, he has a fondness for the animals around, both pets and livestock. Many of the familiar trainers have their eyes on young Lindon.
Rog has been trying many different tasks, but hasn't yet found his calling. He's still looking and learning however, and has become a beloved member of the community.
Mani felt a strong calling to join the Priests, who live just outside the clan's domain. They commune with the elements, with Nature, and with the essence of Sornieth itself. Mani tracks the cycles of the moon and helps the clan prepare for events such as eclipses, changing in the tides, and the cycle of seasons.
Kofe found herself fascinated with the travelers that came through and stopped to rest at Kazul's lair. While she didn't want to leave, she loved hearing stories and meeting dragons and beasts from all over the world. She began working with
Nalia and began creating beverages besides the tea that the pearlcatcher served. Kofe learned of a stronger drink, brewed from roasted beans, and began offering it to weary travelers and merchants. This became a hit, and she's now a regular fixture at the inn.
Skouria found himself drawn to the woods from the beginning. He would run off and get lost for hours, sometimes a few days, and upon returning, always had new and interesting things he found. Kazul asked if he would be willing to lend his natural talents to the scouts, and Skouria has become a huge asset to the group.
During one of Taffy's many trips back to the lair, Hypno met Masque and learned they were related. Hypno had been trying to find his place, and decided to sneak away with the Troupe when they left. He decided to get to know his cousin better and maybe meet some more interesting people. He managed to stow away and stay hidden for days, and when he was "caught" a few times, he managed to get away. Eventually, Taffy was more amused than annoyed and suggested Hypno fine-tune his skills with a little flourish, and turn it into an act. Hypno was thrilled, and became the Troupe's first escape artist.
Rock has still been working odd jobs and running errands for the clan, and has been perfectly content with his role for now. He gets to participate in a variety of tasks, and never gets bored. Plus, it allows him to talk with and get to know everyone in the lair, and there's so many dragons, it's easy to just talk to the ones you're around most. While he has no immediate plans to specialize in a role yet, he's been told having an extra pair of hands, wings, or eyes on a project can be a tremendous help.
Merrion experienced some difficulty when she entered adolescence. She found herself hearing and seeing things she couldn't explain, and that many others couldn't hear or see. Eventually, she sough the help of the Priests, and learned that she was seeing and hearing spirits and entities around her. She learned that she was able to interpret what different energies around her wanted. She had an intuition about rivers, trees, and the fertility of the earth. While her skills weren't quite strong enough to warrant the Priests inviting her to live with them for a time, she does have a strong intuition, and offers advice and insight to the other dragons on a variety of issues.
Kiln loved, and I mean LOVED, playing in the mud as an adolescent dragon. It was impossible to keep him clean for more than a few hours at best. He would wiggle and play, and most often, build. He would find mud that wasn't too watery and not too dry, and make the most amazing things. From bowls and cups to figures of dragons and animals. As he got older, he started learning which types of mud were better for making things that would last, or that could be used for different purposes. He now supplies the clan with all kinds of things, from terracotta ovens to bowls to knickknacks.
Celestia found herself with a keen mind for talking with others, building connections, and finding resources. She was able to find things other people needed, and suggest trades that would benefit her and others. She's not a terribly shrewd merchant, but a very successful one, and one who can find most things you would need on a daily basis.
Avon found herself standing up for other, smaller dragons ever since she was a child and first came to Kazul's lair. Avon was able to resolve many issues without coming to blows, but when she couldn't, those blows were felt by the dragons who stood against her. Once she was old enough, she joined the guard and has been protecting the clan ever since.
Flip has enjoyed helping others with work, especially the builders. While he's still learning many basic skills and tasks, he is certainly leaning towards choosing a role in building or architecture for the clan.

I do have some more CotG, but they've joined me since my desktop died and I haven't been able to do as much with them, so I'm unsure how they fit into the clan yet, so I won't post them here.
