“Wow.” Betafite murmured as Core finished explaining. “It’s pretty decent of them to offer recompense, That will go a long way to fixing the damage. I’ve tallied the numbers over and over. Not counting injuries. We’ll still be pretty deep in the hole.” She shook her head. “I think we should ask for ransom.” Torquil’s eyes widened. “Really?” “No.” Her mate, West disagreed. “We are assured that money. According to Core the ransom is a gamble.” “That could pay off.” North pointed out. “I think it’s worth the risk.” “Well I don’t.” They tumbled into their customary bickering. Torquil ignoring them, looked to Alora. “Well?” “I don’t like asking a ransom. It seems sordid. But so does getting paid to return him.” He turned to Riverat and Lytra. “I’d try for the ransom.” Riverat said after a minute. “But then I’m a gambler.” North shot him a quick smile, Lytra nodded. “I believe we should call for a vote.” Disciple said softly. A Primal wind dragon who bore same colors of the God Windsinger, he rarely spoke let alone offered advice. But he was always listened to when he did. We have three options, since I consider the last one to be unthinkable, turn him in, ransom him, or keep him. Maybe I should have said two of the options were unthinkable. But we’ll vote on the three. Who votes to turn him in and take the reward? And it is really a generous reward.” A few hands rose, less than half. “Who votes to ransom him?” More hand than the first. Still less than half. “Who votes to let him stay.” Kore hand went up. Torquil smiled at her, but said. “I assume those who didn’t vote are abstaining. Ransom it is. Descendent go prepare for the journey. Kore would you fetch me paper and a quill? I have a letter to write.” Dear Empress and Imperator, We send you cordial greeting and news I have been assured you are awaiting. An Astral by the name of Yeineat found his way into my clan. Apparently, he decided the whole clan was worth preserving. While I am more than willing to take the complement, it seems his method of preserving, leaves much to be desired. We have him contained. And would like to return him to you. I regret to say my clan has voted on the Ransom option. Be assured we will take care of him until this is settled. Descendant and Scintillare are trusted members of my clan and will be honored to carry your message back to me. We await your reply. With deep respect. Torquil

Dear Empress and Imperator,
We send you cordial greeting and news I have been assured you are awaiting.

So, uh, here's a part 1 to my second part! [emoji=mirror happy size=1] Sorry for the wait, but here's at least the first part to the event's second stage. What I have planned is a lot so I might have to do these small parts for the main bulk of what's happening. Well enjoy, toodles!

I am glad to hear that you have managed to contain the astral, and from your letter it seems you have the situation well under control. In light of what your messengers have told me about your experience, I have sent Katiyana to provide the ransom and collect the astral. While he is not fully a dragon, you have my word that he will do you no harm. The first offering of ransom is enclosed. “We’re home.” Descendent announced grandly as he walked into the hall. “And we brought a guest!” He gestured to an icy Imperial dragon waiting calmly in the entrance. “He has an amazing story. He’s apparently half god. Kind of a quiet fellow. But nice. “Amore, basta. Presentalo e fargli a tutti di incontrarlo da solo. Lui sta proprio lì. Smetti di parlare di lui e fagli parlare ...” Scintillare scolded gently. Descendent shifted, then grinned at her. “Sorry. Everyone this Katiyana of the House Xanna, from Aphaster City, capital of the Analemma Dominions.” He gave a grand flourish causing Scintillare to giggle. Core stepped up with Torquil perched on his head. Torquil accepted the letter with a smile. While Torquil read the letter aloud, Katiyana’s eye traveled the area. Stopping at the pink bubble covered in flowering vines incased in ice. A Nature Primal signing to the Astral through a little opening. A slight smile curved him mouth. Torquil, finished reading and Katiyana gave him back his attention. “You have the ransom?” Core asked calmly. “Yes.” Katiyana withdrew a box. “Must we do this now?” Alora asked. “He just arrived. We haven’t even offered him a refreshment.” Katiyana smiled. “I’d loved a refreshment. After. When the business is through. So it’s is not hanging over our head. Thank you though.” Alora sighed but nodded and settled on Kyros horns. Katiyana handed the package to Alluvium. Everyone gathered around. Seina, Sprites mate, gasped. Oh please!” She almost begged. “And could I wear it?” Torquil smiled at her. “No.” North argued, “if he does accept it we would need to sell it to pay for the damage.” “Oh,” Seina blinked tears. “North.” Torquil sighed, “this is a gift from the Empress Rebis of the Analemma Domains. I didn’t love that we asked for ransom. Though I accepted the majorities decisions about that. However. We are not a poor clan. There is no need to not to honor them by keeping the skin they sent safe.” Torquil nodded to Katiyana. Who smiled back. “Fine. I’ll have to raid the hoard.” North grumbled. Riverat laughed, “You’ll find it sweetie, you always do.” He laughed harder at her glare. “If we are done with the business,” soft voice Imperial named Cecilia interrupted their fight, “I have a feast on the table.” Katiyana smile. “I’d love to join in a feast,” He paused and glanced at Yeineat. “I’ve never seen him so calm.” Alora nodded. “Kore has that effect on most that come within her sphere. She’s the only one now that he’ll deal with.” Torquil sighed. “She will miss him.” “Yes she will.” Alora agreed. “But come. We plan to send you two back so full, neither of you will need to eat for a month. “ “Love, enough. Introduce him and let everyone meet him themselves. He is right there. Stop talking about him and let him talk ...”
