Hello to our Lightning friends!
My name is Tennant and I’m the [s]idiotconscriptchump[/s] volunteer who was given the blessed task of watching and reporting about the progress your tributes to the Shadowbinder have made since arriving to serve our illustrious Drool Mother.
Your clan mates are having a great time poking around my clan’s grounds. We have a nice area within the Forum of the Obscured Crescent and they have been wandering in and out of the clan’s dens all day. A fair few of my clan mates are somewhat irritated by this, but they are the clan mates who prefer their complete privacy and solitude. The rest of them are very welcoming, and in particular; my clan mate Sheryl is inviting the more clever of your clan to come see her basement.
I am enjoying watching all the things your curious members are getting up to……….

My name is Arseni and I’m part of the group tasked to guide your exaltees this Trickmurk. Everyone’s been so lovely! I’ve never seen so many well-mannered dragons in one place at the same time. I must congratulate you for the excellent training and education provided to your dragons. They’re a delight to work with, and I speak for everyone when I say it’s been a blast and a half so far. Both hatchlings and adults have so many questions about our Flight, and they all seem genuinely eager to learn.
But I’m afraid that not everything is perfect around here. You see, I began to notice something strange. Some of the hatchlings aren’t exactly fitting in well here with us, to the point they’ve become…distant? Yes, that’s the word. They don’t seem to want to participate in any of our activities - in fact, they barely even interact with other dragons at all!
I’m worried, as part of the group in charge of Plague exaltees, I want everyone to feel comfortable and at home. Not only that, it’s of utmost importance that they have fun and feel welcomed. After all, they’re moving away from their previous home and family!
Hm, maybe that’s it? Maybe these hatchlings are a bit homesick? It’s definitely worth investigating. Anyway, I just want to assure everyone in Plague Flight that we’re doing our best to assist your exaltees in every possible way. I’d like to extend a thank you in the name of all Shadow Flight for your help!

I must say, there are certainly a lot of you here. Hehe, it honestly looks like I'm one of you, traveling to go to mother! There are so many green and browns that it really will liven up our dark home. Not that I don't like our dark home, but we could really use some more color.
Your clan members have been chatting the whole time, and right now we are currently settling down at a camp for the night, very close to the Driftwood Drag, with a fire crackling. We huddle around it, singing campfire songs. I never knew the Nature flight could sing on top of their green thumb! My voice doesn't sound that great. It's warbled and off-key, and I had many hatchlings plugging their ears and grimacing at me. Oh well. You win some, you lose some.
Anyways, back to the campfire songs. Some of your clan members have been trying to teach me this one song, but I can never really get the lyrics right. Something about growing, and flowers, and sunshine, or something. I'm not one for remembering things...Haha.
Speaking of remembering, where did that group of hatchlings run off too? Ah! Everyone's panicking! OH NO OH NO! They seem to have run off after some animal, excited to see the fauna in our land. NOW is NOT the time to wander off! It's the middle of the night! Who knows what might get them! I don't even know which way they've gone!
Oh--- Wait! They left a trail of little sprouts. Well that's helpful. Time to follow. I will update you as soon as possible on the news of the missing hatchlings. Let’s just hope I don't die first.[/color]

I write all this in assumption that you’ve actually managed to get your hands on this letter, and not have it float off like another one of your glowy pink rocks… A ha ha ha ha ha… But please, do allow me to introduce myself… My name is Kelvonun, and I run quite the prestigious lair where we see dozens, even hundreds, of your wonderful arcane dragons come and go by the hour, waiting to go to another of our exalting lairs. I absolutely adore the younger of your beautiful pink-eyed dragons, especially the ones who still show that exquisite arcane quality of their extreme curiosity.
But I do suppose a “thank you” is in order. Because of course, you, the receivers of this letter, are the ones who send [s]that lovely arcane fodder[/s] your young aspiring arcanites. Writing a letter at the last minute with pen and ink is a terrible idea, did you know that? All my years of cunning and wisdom and yet I still haven’t learned that, isn’t that a shame? But all that is besides the point… We in shadow must thank you for sending those transfer arcane dragons, and for all of you who have come to our lovely masquerade!
They have managed to adapt quite well to the Tangled Wood, and I’d be quite disappointed otherwise… those of you from arcane are known for [s]your pursuit of truth and knowledge, of course[/s] My associate Mindol informs me that Light is the flight known for that while Arcane is supposedly for their curiosity and dreams according to the world map... Do you see what I mean? Do you see why I hate these blasted pens? Why is it tradition to use these cursed things on a dreadfully important letter?!?
My previous statement still stands though… I’d be quite disappointed if your arcane transfers weren’t able to so successfully adapt to the Tangled Wood… Their curiosity suits them quite well, even if our secrecy frustrates them so much. Oh well… Any dragon who pursues knowledge is a good one in my book… book… WHERE IS MY BOOK?!?!

This year I was [s]held down by force and threatened to be thrown out if I didn’t write this[/s] tasked with the honor of informing all of my siblings in the Shadow Flight of letting you know what our Exalted friends and family have been up to while serving Our Mother. Over the past few months, the smell of all sorts of baked goods have been wafting through the forest as we’ve been working to prepare for this years Trickmurk Circus! Not that [i]I[/i] can eat any of it, but it if tastes half as good as it smells, you’re all in for quite the treat! Or trick, if the rest of the flight is as fond of pranks as I am!
Er, I guess I’m getting a little off topic, huh? Well, like I was saying, I hear a bulk of our Exaltees have been baking all sorts of goodies, Shadowbinder’s orders from what I hear! I can’t help but wonder what’s running through Her head through all this, the baking started just before Night of the Nocturne! Heh, but I suppose it’s not our place to question the Shadowbinder, but I still feel like [i]something’s[/i] up with all of this! Maybe we’ll figure out what all these treats are for during the Circus?
Speaking of the Circus, I’ve had enough of writing! I’m off to [s]snoop around to see if I can’t get to the bottom of this pastry puzzle[s] enjoy the festivities, but I’ll do my best to remember to write back later this week, otherwise I don’t have a desk to write on!
