I’m sure you’re familiar with how the festive seasons can get! It's very loud and hectic but we always manage. The Tangled Wood is quite a change from their home, actually. Things are very dark and gloomy here. All the children seem to want to do is set the trees on fire. It would be quite interesting to see the outcome of that, but I fear Mother would not appreciate if her woods were tampered with. Perhaps if we played it discreetly… Ahem. Anyway, the little Embers absolutely love our cookies. It is, after all, what we are renowned for. They’ve been eating them so quickly that we barely have time to make a new batch before they finish the old one! Talk about a mouthful, am I right? They have, however, agreed to help bake their treats. Even if that didn’t fare too well the last time. The whole kitchen got covered in flour and I had to take the little ones to Terra for grooming. They loved her to no end and it was extremely difficult to pry them off her. That’s Terra for you, I suppose. After the unfortunate kitchen endeavor, I decided to teach them to cultivate some mushrooms. This, also, didn’t fare too well and most of them burnt to a crisp. Ah, well, what can you do? Perhaps hunting will be their forte. No avail, they were spotted by the Muskrats in seconds due to their glow. After many a failed attempts at different activities the little ones were [i]still[/i] bursting with energy - which, by the way, is preposterous. [i]Honestly[/i], how do they manage to burst with energy even after an entire day of activities? Completely unfair. In the end, I resorted to the last thing I knew: story telling. They loved this, of course they did. Who [i]doesn’t[/i] love a good tale? So, I told them the tale of The Eleven and how Sornieth came to be. I’m not quite sure if the tale was boring or if the drowsiness finally caught up to them. Nevertheless, one by one, they feel into slumber. They sleep as I write to you now and I fear that the scratching of my quill might wake them. The little ones mentioned some fire magic they wished to show me, so I will write to you soon with the details of how that went.
