[list][*] A Moon Elf, born and raised in the Tangled Wood. Pretty rebellious as a youngster and fell in with folks who practiced magic that her more conservative elders frowned upon.
[*] Began to study necromancy. Was booted out of her clan because of this. She lost much of her elvish magic that day. Getting a normal mundane job to support herself didn't appeal to her (and she was still young and rebellious back then), so she dove deeper into her studies.
[*] Realized that a lot of the darker aspects of necromancy, plus the people who tended to practice them, didn't appeal to her anyway. But it was pretty much all she knew by then (Sunk Cost Fallacy, etc.), so she stubbornly tried finding ways to make the magic work for her.
[*] Hit upon the idea of raising the dead to help her with doing odd jobs. But most of the people who hired her were pretty unsavory too, mostly pirates and smugglers.
[*] Got into the shipbuilding business because most of her clients were looking for quick ways to leave by sea.
[*] Has a bad reputation because of this checkered past. The sort of criminal who now just tries to avoid causing trouble and is tired of her career, but doesn't really know how to get out of it. All other elves shun her, and as she was expelled at a young age and didn't have anyone to guide her, she's always been on her own. A world-weary person who doesn't really have the gumption or the wherewithal to change her ways.
[*] That aside, her life isn't too bad. She avoids stirring up trouble, and she enjoys some degree of protection and favors from her clients. Doesn't really have any friends to speak of, but doesn't make any efforts to look for some.
