I don't exactly write short stories, but I've never written anything the size of a real book. Mostly it's fanfiction that never gets finished, but sometimes I make original stories. I have a lot of story ideas, but some of them never get written down. Only my sister Aquacoral has ever actually seen my stories, though sometimes I explain to my friends what some of my fanfiction is about.

@LadyRowyn Normally, yes, but with how things are right now...between work and family, I just haven't been able to must up any interest in even working on any of the projects I have. I just don't want to say I'll be working on X and Y project only to have **** happen and end up not working on anything than say I'm not going to work on anything and see what I can get done anyways.

I don't know if that makes sense...

Let me rephrase:
I'd rather not say anything and have to hold myself to that comment, than say nothing and be pleasantly surprised to see what I actually do get done.

I try to live my life like that, but again, between family and work, I have to say "I'm going to do this" and then they get on my case about "Why isn't it getting done?". Because I only said things to get you to shut up in the first place!

Sorry sorry...I'm going to start ranting again. This isn't the place for that.

@Anyone On the bio front, I want to standardize them all so I don't have monster-long bios that I can't connect well to other dragons and such. [center] Mauerfuchs has a good basic bio with my template. The leftmost column is pretty much set, I like how it looks and what it has. Body stats on the dragon, where he came from (with links to parent lair if bought through a lair or AH if bought at auction). Bondprice for lore and for me to keep track of what I've changed on them. Links for crediting people who made template art and such. The right column directly beside the left I more or less know what I want. The right-most text is a small note about their job. The next is a TVTropes link because why not? Below that a breeding card. But after that? I'm not sure, what subjects do you guys think is important to get a fast idea of what one of the dragons is about? ------ In other news.... I'm sort of having fun training coli teams for later sale. I'm still trying to get that red/red/plat male fae (I'm going to owe that Ice player a mint for all the hosting they're doing), but in the meantime I'm training up the other two and a keeper imp. It's been surprisingly fun to do while also doing the Patience Coli challenge. 1. Start in the first venue, fight until you get a familiar, move to next venue. 2. Hoard/AH sell everything you get from the challenge. 3. On the very last venue, you stay until you get an egg. 4. Post results and bask in the glory, then use Hoard/AH sold monies to celebrate with a gene or lair expansion. I'm 50 battles deep into the Scorched Forest and no familiars yet. @LadyRowyn Clean and fast- yeah, that's the way I want to write, haha! Hey, it's good to have goals, right? I think right now I want to get into the habit of producing a consistent 5k words a week. That's not a massive time commitment, but it's enough (or a little over) what I need to keep ahead of my update schedule on the fanfics I write- if I wrote them on those fanfics, and not one of the numerous other projects… But, yes. Habit building, it'll be good! Also, wow, you were seriously productive on that RPG! Sounds like great fun, I hope it's going well for you! @ShardofSun Hello! Aww, I know that feeling when you've had an epiphany and this feeling of “must-write-NOW” and you can't, for some reason… But, hey, congrats on things coming together! NaNo's made me realize that I really don't know my characters well enough… I mean, they're there, but I don't know such things as their worst fears, or what their goals are. One of my main characters gets dumped from our world into a fantasy world (hey, it's a cliché for a reason, right?) and… he doesn't really want to go home. Like, you'd imagine if that happened to you, you'd be all homesick and eager to find a way, but he just kind of shrugs and gets on with life. And I'm really not quite sure what to make of it. Doesn't he miss his friends? His family? It doesn't feel like he doesn't have family, but I guess he's not close to them? Sorry, I'm rambling, it's just, characters sure are interesting the way they sometimes don't tell you things about themselves, aren't they? @Aloysius Ooooh, Kittiwake is so pretty! I never told you my book synopsis I realize now that I'm flipping through the thread.
"Thanksgiving" is book 2 of a 3 book series "Halloween/Thanksgiving/Solstice (Maybe just Christmas?)" Tentatively called the Harvest Season Series. It's Urban Fantasy Older Teen/Young Adult

In the first book we're introduced to a wolf pack who's (Ritualistically) changing their newest crop of 18 year olds. All the 18 year olds are aware that the change has a good chance of killing them within the first three moons. (Some bodies can't handle it, and eventually give out within the first three changes, some it causes violent moodswings and psychotic episodes). Almost all of them survive the initial transformation. Unfortunately (unbeknownst to the pack, who's functioned unmolested for nearly a century) this puts their population over 100 healthy and active werewolves, which means, The Woodsmen, is obligated to kill some off to get their population under control. A process that usually takes about 3 months. They send a group of trainees to cut their teeth on the mission, since the pack is oblivious, and most likely easy targets.

Thanksgiving opens with 3 werewolves dead...but not by the Woodsmen. Or so they claim. Pack leaders aren't convinced and are out for blood. An uneasy alliance forms between a few members of the pack and the Woodsmen to find out the true murders, and more importantly, the murder's motive. The answer of which might have horrible repercussions for them all.

@CanisLupis03 mostly fanfiction for fandoms no one knows about. Wings of Fire, Song of the Summer King, Warriors, and obviously Flight Rising stuff is usually what I do, but I make my own worlds with inspiration from comics, stories, songs and pictures as well.
