Ah, thank you - I went on hiatus until a year or so back and missed a lot (including the gathering cap raises!)

The gathering 'brokenness' sounds like what I was saying though - working as intended, but not popular.
While the number of x-rarity items added each level (and therefore decrease in rare item chance) works out as very small, hopefully things will be adjusted when they get to the gathering revamp.

The chests are a bonus chance- meaning that you get your regular loot and then RNG rolls to see if you get a chest as well (the same principle of elemental currency) Meaning, if you don't get any/many chests, it's just bad luck.

ive gotten 1 a day in scavenging.

I didn't get any in gathering today, and in every single NotN chest i got this week i only got familiars so far

Here's the thing: I know it should work that way. I'm wondering, because there are so few chests gotten from gathering (I got ZERO today!) that it is NOT working that way this NotN. That's what this thread is about.

aahh sorry for the confusion

I haven't gotten a single chest ANYWHERE since the first day. This isn't just "bad luck," this is "something is BROKEN."

Have you checked your hoard? If the image is failing to load you could be getting chests without realising (I've certainly discovered I've got familiars that way before). Caching issues could also cause them to look like they're not dropping.

As is, the longest I've gone without a chest while full bore farming in woodland path is about 45 minutes, so if you don't get at least one in an hour from there then I'd send in a ticket. They're certainly up on the server end though - everyone else I know has been getting them, and FR doesn't do soft bans.

(Wrt gathering - it is, unfortunately, physically possible to consistently not get one in gathering. Drop rate seems to be about 10% in gathering, and given how many people use this site it's kinda not surprising that there is one person who's not got one that way yet :/)

People with low gathering levels are also getting ~1 per day from gathering (and someone I asked with <20 gathering has had none one three days). It's not level based, everyone has the same low chance.
