When you live on a space station, you hear many tales. Stories from the frontier, colony life, politics - and sometimes, stories of home. Grand cities spread across USC territory and beyond, structured with shining metal and pulsing blue lights...

Some refueling ships contain curious, frozen cargo. Rare creatures only found on the fringes of the frontier, transported to empires' top researchers for analyzing. The citizens of USC Splendor have nothing to worry about, as the specimens are in no state to awaken and escape their ships. . . right? 6th gen descendants of Naomi and Ignis.

One of the more rare minerals available on the USC market, storm crystals are prized for their use as potential emergency backup power for ships under duress. they are also sometimes fashioned into jewelry, where the electricity within allows the gems to sparkle even when not in motion.

Very rarely, new beings are first interacted with in USC territory. If not hostile, highest priority goes to making the best first impression possible, in hopes of alliances and trade agreements.

Some planets have been discovered with hazy mists covering their surfaces. It is always a surprise what USC scientists find - poisonous, corrosive, narcotic. There are some gases that have been found beneficial, however, providing a boost to happiness and productivity.

Among geologists throughout USC and allied territories, one particular material seems to defy all logic. The mineral can be purified from its containing rocks, but it seems to almost appear sentient. Research is being carefully conducted through classification four protocol in order to secure safety of USC scientists.
