Auction shortened a couple days since bidding has stopped. It's done on the 6th at midnight so add any last bids this weekend!! Also about to auction off a breeding pair of solid white 6digit skydancers!
Hello! I'm owner the pinglists, so I just wanted to give you a heads up:
It looks like you used all the 7 Digit pinglists. What you needed for this thread is the 6 Digit Sales pinglist only, since this an auction style sale for two 6 digit dragons. If you need help with the pinglist document, just let me know and I can ping the right people for you. It's worth it, the 6 digit lists have more people on them than the 7s.
Additionally, there are a few things I saw were missing from your auction:
- It's always a good idea to set a Snipe Guard of at least an hour. That means that if someone places a bid within the last 60 minutes of the auction's end time, then it extends the auction by an additional 60 minutes. It prevents people from placing last second bids in an attempt to snag the winning bid at the lowest price possible. In other words, the winning bid must be uncontested for those 60 minutes. It's good for you as the seller to ensure the winning bid is truly the highest offer, and it also gives some security to the people bidding. No one likes to sit there refreshing anxiously in the last minutes of an auction.
- Another useful thing to set is a Minimum Increase. This can be any amount you like, but 100g would be appropriate for 6 digits. Setting an MI prevents bidders from outbidding one another by 1g or similarly low amounts. Bidding like this is widely considered to be troll behavior, but some people unfortunately will take advantage of a lack of MI if you don't set one. It benefits you the most as the seller.
A Snipe Guard and Minimum Increase are of course optional, but they are generally expected and together they make auctions more comfortable for everyone involved.
